How to Use MovieMaker to Create a Stop-Action Movie
1.
Open Windows MovieMaker.
2.
Change the duration setting for the photos (you must do this before addingphotos to the timeline) Go to Tools—Options—Advanced. Make the changesbelow.1.Picture duration: 0.1252.Transition: 0.25

Make sure the
Task
window on the left is visible. If not, click on
Tasks
on thetoolbar at the top of the window.

Under 
Capture Video
, click on
Import Pictures
. The Import File window willopen. Navigate to the folder where your stop action photos are located. Select
all 
the pictures by pressing
Control A
, then click on
Import
. All pictures will beimported into the collections area in the middle of the screen.
 
5.
Delete any photos you don’t want by clicking on the photo and pressing thedelete key on the keyboard.
6.
Select all of the photos (Control-A) and drag the photos down to the
Storyboard
area at the bottom. The pictures will appear in the
Storyboard
boxes.
7.
Change the view to
Timeline
and
zoom in
using the magnification glass with theplus sign so that you can see the individual pictures.
8.
To change the duration of a specific pictures, click on the picture that you want toadjust and point to the right border. Your cursor will change to a red double-headed arrow, then you can drag the border to decrease or increase your time.
 
9.
Now add a title and credits to the movie. In the Task Bar under 
Edit Movie
,choose
Make titles or credits
.
10.
Type in the title and subtitle then click on
Done
, this will add the title to movie.You can change the background color, font, and animation if desired.
11.
Follow the same procedure for adding the credits. Students can also add text atthe bottom of photos or between photos to add dialogue (like old movies).

Click on the type or mood of music you want to hear (rock, sad, etc.)
