Science Week with the TURBOS

(Ks )

Welcome Science week. The Turbos will become little scientists this week, specializing in meteorology and geology. Well learn about the different rocks while tumbling a few and also learn about volcanoes! The Turbos will then explore weather by making weather vanes and anemometers. The fieldtrips this week are to the Klondike Museum and the Big Dig Museum in Pioneer Square on Tuesday and Thursday we will go to the UW Geology and Weather departments. Let the exploration of Earth begin! Steve

Breakfast is an important meal and we serve a breakfast snack at Kids Inc. but it is only out for those early morning campers. The children run and play hard and need the energy to make it to lunch. Please make sure your child eats a healthy breakfast at home before coming to camp! Thank you for your cooperation.

Science Week with the THE FLYING COWS

(3rd -5th Grades)

Science Week with the SUPER PICKLES

(1st & 2nd Grades)

Its all about Chemistry this week! We will start the week experimenting with color. On Tuesday we will make icky sticky slime, bubbling alka seltzer and create elephant toothpaste. Wednesday, the Flying Cows will tour a UW Chem lab with a show that has promised some big boom crowd favorites! Thursday we will dabble with invisible and crystal ink and find out what happens to pennies when you add certain ingredients. Friday we will head off to the Pacific Science Center to gather as much scientific knowledge our minds can hold. Be ready because all week long we will jog our memories with scientific trivia. Dont forget to apply the sunscreen in the morning and those non warm up lunches and water bottles! Amira and Cecilia

Its aliiiiive!!! In week two, the Super Pickles will be exploring the life sciences, starting on Monday with a trip to the Woodland Park Zoo! Tuesday brings lady bug designing, creating science journals and decorating flower pots. Wednesday we will take a trip to the conservatory where we will be identifying different species of plants. The rest of the week will branch out from plants and animals to tasty microorganisms and the universal solvent of life! Lets see what kind of fun we can grow!!! Lindsay and Elliot

Beach Day/Park Day/Everyday

Please note the schedule above for Beach and Park day. Dont forget to apply that sunscreen before your child gets here to Kids Inc. everyday, and especially on all beach/park days, the kids will be leaving by 9:10 and returning by 3:00 pm. Washington Administrative Code insists that either all children have freezer packs in their lunch or we must carry portable coolers on our fieldtrips. We are asking for your support. Please make sure that your child has a freezer pack in their lunch. A frozen water bottle works great. Thanks for your help.
