The Australian Computer Society is a RegisteredTraining Organisation to deliver the ICA50111Diploma of Information Technology (DIT).The DIT is aimed at students, in full timeemployment, with access to ICT services withintheir organisation, who wish to obtain a formalTAFE level qualification. Completion of the DITcan also lead to a pathway into
a Bachelor’s
Degree in IT.The DIT consists of six subjects, four core andtwo units from one stream. In built into thetwo stream units is a capstone Work BasedProject which forms part of the assessment.The elective streams are SoftwareDevelopment; Information Systems andComputer Network.Those students wishing to obtain ACS Membercertification as a Certified Technologist (CT) willalso have to undertake the CareerDevelopment and Planning subject.The benefits of the Diploma of IT are:
