Airbus Lessors Conference
The 9
th
Lessors Conference took place in October in the United States with over 140 participantsfrom 90 leasing companies. The lessors appreciated the initiative of the presentations to promote aninteractive approach with the audience and anexchange with Airbus’ Customer Services &Support senior management team.Many important technical subjects have beenraised with a focus on Upgrade Services. Fleet performance, new regulations, requirements, safetyenhancements and solutions, including the Sharkletretrofit presentations have been shown.In addition to services for lessors and improvementsin the efficiency of aircraft transitions, a new servicewas presented which is part of an EASA processwhen required to import/export an aircraft to/fromthe European Union.
Airbus Material, Logistics, Suppliersand Warranty symposium
The overwhelmingly positive feedback that Airbusreceived for this year’s symposium in Bangkok (Thailand) has once again proven that ‘MaterialMatters!’. This event gathered 109 customers and 22 suppliers who received an update on the latestdevelopments and initiatives that were taken.Interactive discussions in various workshopsand caucus sessions facilitated the right frameto commonly develop solutions and get prepared for the anticipated market growth. Airbus haslistened carefully to the customers’ requirements,is evaluating them and will take actions accordinglywith the aim of presenting the results at the nextsymposium.Detailed information is available on the dedicated e-site on the AirbusWorld homepage (in the “What’snew” box).
A successful Structure seminar
Early November in Toulouse (France), over 116 worldwide representatives from airlines,lessors and MRO organisations participated to thisseminar, creating a unique opportunity for thestructure community to share relevant subjectsand gather the overall experience, knowledge and support necessary to empower the motto: “StructureSupport: A joint effort”.Airbus structure specialists provided technical presentations, including maintenance programmetopics and in-service fleet issues. Demonstrationswere provided on IDOLS, Repair Manager,Structure Trainings and new Consumable MaterialLists (CML). A dedicated NDT (Non-DestructiveTesting) workshop allowed the participants to practice on Pulse Thermography and UltrasonicPhased Array methods.
Technical Data Support & Services symposium
An impressive participation of more than160 attendees from operators, suppliers and MROsattended this sixth Technical Data symposium held in Istanbul (Turkey).“Supporting your Digital Operations!” was thisedition’s motto covering solutions for technicaldata in the fields of Maintenance & Repair,Spares & Suppliers, Scheduled Maintenance,Service Bulletins and Flight Operations. Morethan 30 presentations, demos and workshops weredelivered by Airbus and some additional subjectswere kindly presented by guest speakers from Qatar Airways, TAP Maintenance & Engineering and Zodiac Aerospace. After an interesting caucus, theattendees highlighted the exceptional networkingopportunity in such events and delivered strongencouragements to keep up the good work in thefuture!

Material Management seminars 2013
Cost reduction and increased operational efficiencyare permanent objectives in today’s challengingtimes. In order to respond, Airbus has scheduled 11 seminars in 2013 with different levels of specialization in different locations around the world,specifically developed to support more efficientmaterial management. The training portfolio has been extended by including now a “Tools and GSEseminar”.
