Here we elucidate a molecular mechanism by which b-adrenergic catecholamines, acting through both GsPKA and barrestin-mediated signalling pathways, trigger DNA damage and suppress p53 levels respectively, thus synergi- stically leading to the accumulation of DNA damage.
