TENURE-TRACK POSITION - ASSISTANT PROFESSOR EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY

The Faculty of Education, University of Regina is inviting applications for a Full-time, Tenure-Track Position appointment beginning January 1, 2014. The Faculty of Education seeks an individual who can contribute to the Educational Psychology Program with expertise in Counseling and Assessment. The Faculty has a strong orientation towards social justice issues in education and is committed to enacting the themes, vision, values and mission of the Universitys Strategic Plan - mmawohkamtowin: Our Work, Our People, Our Communities. Consistent with this orientation, the Educational Psychology area supports students to critically engage with counseling and assessment practices practiced in school and community contexts. Duties: The individual will be responsible to teach undergraduate and graduate classes in Educational Psychology, supervise students in practicum experiences, supervise graduate students, sit on graduate student committees, assume active involvement in the collegial governance of the Faculty and engage in individual and collaborative scholarly research. Qualifications: The successful individual will possess a Ph.D. degree with an academic focus and relevant work experience in the fields of counseling and assessment practices. An active record of research and scholarship is an asset as is experience working with First Nations populations and in indigenizing course content. The individual should be registered or should be eligible for registration with a provincial college of psychologists or equivalent. Salary Range: Depending on qualifications and experience, normally in the Assistant Professor range ($72,567 - $93,831, currently under review).
