A MAGAZINE FROM
ON TRENDS, MARKETS AND BUSINESS
“How do you avoid unwantedgerms in your surrounding?”
Living in France, you areexpected to shake hands witheveryone you meet and forthose you know, you have to“faire la bise” or kiss them onboth cheeks, twice or some-times even four times. Duringthe winter months, this fillsme with dread, because it’sthe perfect way to pick up avirus. I have been known towrap myself up in a scarf, covering my nose andmouth, pretending that I amsuffering from “la grippe”.I like to think I’m doing mybit helping people to keeptheir germs to themselves.
Writer, France. Interviewed Peter Holmgren, pages 16–19
