Betty Cutler, PER, DDGER, representing the Past ExaltedRulers’ Association of Barre Elks Lodge #1535, recently presentedtwo $1,000 scholarships to Kevin Guild and Luke Farley.Kevin Guild, a senior at Spaulding High School, will be attend-ing Providence College in Rhode Island majoring in psychology.Luke Farley, a senior at Northfield Middle and High School,will be attending Emerson College in Boston and studyingMarketing/Communication.The PER Association provides three $1,000 scholarships annu-ally. Seniors of Spaulding High School, Websterville BaptistChristian School, Williamstown High School, Twinfield HighSchool and Northfield Middle and High School are eligible.There is no application, the only requirement is a two hundredword essay about a topic chosen by the PER Association. Schoolsare notified of the chosen topic on April 1 and the deadline for theessay is May 1. This year’s chosen topic was “Describe what theNational Anthem means to you.”
