When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise.

(Proverbs 10:19 NIV)

19

In other words, if you say too much, you are bound to say something wrong. There is no alternative. To use too many words is the mark of a fool. When you hear a person continually talking, you need no other evidence: that person is a fool. "A fool's voice is known by a multitude of words." What is the root problem? I believe it is restlessness
8

No man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.

"But I tell you that men will have to give account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken."

You will be a different person. If you would keep that rule for one year, I promise you that a year from now you will be a different and a much better person. Disease Number Three: Gossip
"Do not go about spreading slander among your people." (Leviticus 19:16 NIV)
16

Going about spreading slanderidle, untrue, exaggerated, malicious talkis gossip. The very title of Satan in the New Testament, the word rendered "devil," means "a slanderer" in Greek. That is its root meaning and the main description of Satan in the Bible. If you gossip or tell tales, you are actually doing the devil's

work for him. You are a representative of Satan. Not only must we be careful not to give out gossip, we have a responsibility not to receive gossip also. Every lie comes from the devil. Every time a lie passes through our lips, it comes from the devil. "a flattering mouth works ruin," and, "whoever flatters his neighbor is spreading a net for his feet." Hastiness of Speech
Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him. (Proverbs 29:20 NAS)

Above all, I will not yield that member which causes most of the trouble: my tongue. Sin, you cannot control my tongue any longer." Then turn to God and say, "God, I yield y tongue to You, and I ask You to control e member which I cannot control." Third, refuse sin, and yield to God. Say "no" to sin and "yes" to God. Refuse sin, and yield to the Holy Spirit. The only power in the universe that can control your tongue effectively for good is the Holy Spirit. But I ask you to check the use of your tongue. Remember, the only reason you have a tongue is to glorify God. Every use of your tongue that does not glorify God is a misuse. I do not believe that there is one of us that could honestly say that we have always used our tongues for the glory of God. Therefore, we must acknowledge the truth of Paul's statement that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. If this is not true in any other area, then it is true in the area of our tongues. It is not enough to deny your tongue to the devil; you must yield your tongue to the Holy Spirit. Be filled with the Holy Spirit and speak: that is the remedy.

Remedy for this Problem The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth and the Spirit of Faith. When He motivates and controls our words and speech, they become positive. Our speech then honors God and brings the blessings of God into our lives. Every one of us needs the Holy Spirit to pilot our lives by controlling our tongues. He is the ultimate solution to the problem of the human tongue.

God permits us to come to a place of failure. He says, "None of you can control your own tongues." And then He says, "But I have a Pilot. Will you invite the Pilot on board?" All you need to do is simply respond with a prayer such as this: Holy Spirit, I really cannot control my tongue aright. Come in and take control. I yield to You. Give me a tongue that glorifies God. Amen.

Do we live as sons of God by keeping a set of rules? No. We live as sons of God by being led by the Holy Spirit. That is the only way we can live as Gods mature children

What is the Building on the Rock?

Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, i will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock ( Matthew 7:24) What is the Building on the Rock ? Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, i will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock Thus the building on the rock means hearing and doing the words of Christ. Once the foundation Christ the Rock has been laid in our lives, We

build on that foundation by hearing and doing the Word of God, diligently studying and applying our lives the teaching of God's Word. So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His Grace, which is able to build you up ACT 20:32 It is God's word and God's Word alone as we hear it and do it as we study it and apply it - that is able to build up within us a strong, secure edifice of faith, laid upon the foundation of Christ Himself. 23 Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. 24 He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Fathers who sent Me. ( John 14: 23 to 24 ) 1. Keeping God's Word is the Supreme feature that distinguishes the disciple of Christ from the rest of the world. 2. Keeping God's word is the Supreme test of the disciple's love for God and the Supreme cause of God's favor toward the disciple. 3. Christ manifests Himself to the disciple through God's word, as it is kept and obeyed 4. The Father and the Son come into the life of the disciple and establish their enduing home with him through God's Word.

The Test of Knowing Him

4 He who says, I know Him, and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. ( 1 John : 2 (4 - 5) )
To summarize, the keeping of God's word distinguishes you as a disciple of Christ. It is the test of your love for God. It is the cause of God's special favor toward you. It is the medium through which Christ manifests Himself to you and through which God the Father and the Son come into your life and make Their home with you. Your attitude toward God's word is your attitude toward God Himself. You do not love God more than you love His Word. You do not obey God more than you obey His Word. You do not honor God more than you honor His

Word. You do not have more room in your heart and life for God than you have for His Word. Do you want to know how much God means to you? Just ask yourself, How much does God's Word mean to me?. The answer to the second question is the answer to the first. God means as much to you as His word means to you - just that, much and no more.

How to Determine what is Right or Wrong?

Anything that we can do to the glory of God and in the name of the Lord Jesus is Good and Acceptable; Anything that we cannot do to the glory of God and in the name of the Lord Jesus is wrong and harmful

Comparison of Bible and Mirror

Only by acting practically and without delay upon that which the mirror of God's Word reveals to us can we receive the forgiveness, cleansing, healing and all the other blessings God has provided for us. To receive the benefits from the mirror of God's word we must without delay seek the cleansing that comes to us through the blood of Jesus Christ.

It is just at this point that many people fail to make proper use of God's mirror, to their own spiritual and eternal loss. Through the hearing or the reading of God's Word and the moving of God's spirit, they come under conviction concerning those things in their hearts and lives that are unclean and unpleasing to God. Looking thus into the mirror of

God's Word, they see their own spiritual condition just as God sees it. There is no real effectual change in the way they live. By the

next day the impression has begun to wear off. They start to settle down into their old ways. Very soon such a person forgets what kind of man he was. He no longer recalls the unpleasant truths God's mirror so clearly and faithfully revealed to him. True repentance is a firm, inward decision; a change of mind. Repentance is an inner change of mind resulting in an outward turning back, or turning around to face and to move in a completely new direction. True repentance must always precede true faith. Without such repentance, faith alone is an empty profession. This is one reason why

the experience of so many Christians today is so unstable and insecure. They are seeking to build without the first of the great foundation doctrines. They are professing faith, but they have never practiced true repentance. Without exception, through the entire New Testament, repentance is the first response to the gospel that God demands. Nothing else can come before it, and nothing else can take its place. True repentance must always precede true faith. Without such repentance, faith alone is an empty profession. This is one reason why the experience of so many Christians today is so unstable and insecure. They are seeking to build without the first of the great foundation doctrines. They are professing faith, but they have never practiced true repentance. The message often preached today is "Only believe". But that is not the message of Christ. Christ and His apostles preached " Repent and Believe". Any preacher who leaves out the call to repentance is misleading sinners and misrepresenting God. For Paul tells us that it is God Himself who "commands all men everywhere to repent " ( Acts 17:30). That is the general edict of God to the entire human race: " All men everywhere must repent".

Meaning of Repentance
In Hebrews 6:1 repentance is defined as "repentance from dead works"; in Acts 20:21 it is defined as "repentance toward God". This means that, in the act of repentance, we turn away from our dead works and face toward God, ready to hear and obey His next Command.

Gods Will for our Life

Both in Scripture and in God's dealings in my life, I have seen that He never starts anything He is not capable of finishing. We need to take heart and be encouraged by this fact. Jesus started us on this race, and He is going to enable us to finish it. He is the author and the perfecter. Keep these three important things in mind. First, the Christian life is a race in which the course is marked out ahead of us, and it is going to take endurance to complete the race. Second, to be successful we must fix our eyes on Jesus. He is both our pattern and our inspiration. Third, He is both the author and perfecter of our faith. As long as we keep our eyes on Jesus, He will not merely set us going, but He will enable us to keep going and bring us successfully and triumphantly to the finish of the race.

In looking to Jesus as both our pattern and our inspiration in this Christian race, we see that the key to His success was His motivation. Unless we really understand His motivation and enter into it with Him, we will find this race too much for us.

The paramount objective of Jesus

The paramount purpose and single objective of Jesus throughout His earthly life was to do the will of God. He was absolutely clear about it, and He never swerved from it.

The fear of the LORD is to hate evil

The Bible gives us no liberty to tolerate the incursion if evil into the church. We are not to be passive, we are not to be neutral. Proverbs 8:13 says: The fear of the LORD is to hate evil . . . It is sinful to compromise with evil. It is sinful to be neutral toward evil. In John 10:10 Jesus spoke about the thief, the devil, who comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy. We always need to remember whether it is an individual life or in a congregation, the devil only comes with three objectivesto steal, to kill, and to destroy.

What is the aim of Devil

I can remember many times Ive been speaking with a person who needed deliverance from an evil spirit. Ive said to that person, Remember, the devil has three reasons for being in your lifeto steal, to kill, and to destroy. You need to take a stand against him. Not be neutral. You must drive him out. What is true of an individual is true of a congregation.
If we are straying from His ways and if we are disobedient, His love is expressed in rebuking us and chastening us, and He commands us to repent. Once again we have the problem of trying to get what God promises, but bypassing the basic condition of repentance which is a deception. Those who are separated from God by sin are dominated by their soul. Youll find if you analyze it, that the life and actions of the natural man are controlled by those three thingsI want, I think, I feel

About Sin Nature

Thats a picture of the whole human race in rebellion against God. And, because of the rebellion, dead in trespasses and sins. That is the outcome of sin. The spirit dies, the soul becomes a rebel in rebellion against its creator. What happens to the body? It becomes, what the Bible calls, corruptible. That means its subject to sickness, aging, and ultimately death.

First Step to become the Disciple of Jesus

Then Jesus said to His disciples, if anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life [literally soul] will lose it, but whoever loses his life [literally his soul] for My sake will find it. Here is the divine paradox; to save, protect our soul, we must lose it. Before we can follow Jesus there are two preliminary steps. First, we must deny ourself. We must say a resolute and final No to our demanding, self-seeking ego. Second, we must take up our cross. We must accept the sentence of death which the cross imposes on us. Taking up our cross is a voluntary decision that each of us must make. God does not forcefully impose the cross upon us. If we do not apply the cross personally in our own life, we leave a door open to demonic influence. There is always the danger that our uncrucified ego will respond to the seductive flatteries of deceiving demons. Pride is the main area in our character which Satan targets, and flattery is the main lever he uses to gain entrance. We must each apply the cross personally to ourselves In Galatians 2:20 Paul says, I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live . . . We each need to ask, Is that true of me? Have I really been crucified with Christ or am I still motivated by my soulish ego? Many Christians today would feel that this solution is too radical. They would question whether this is the only way to be secure from deception. They tend to regard Paul as some kind of Super Saint whom they can never hope to imitate. Paul, however, does not see himself this way. His ministry as an apostle was unique, but his personal relationship with Christ was a pattern for all to follow. In 1 Timothy 1:16 he says, However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. So Paul was a pattern for all who would follow. Again in 1 Corinthians 11:1 he says, Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ. The only alternative to the cross is to put self in the place of Christ, but this is idolatry. It opens the way for evil consequences that invariably follow idolatry. The cross is the heart and center of the Christian faith. Without the cross proclaimed and applied, Christianity is left without a foundation, and its claims are no longer valid. It has become, in fact, a false religion. As such, like all false religions, its inevitably exposed to demonic infiltration and deception.

Pride and Reason for Falling of the Ministries

Finally, let me point out two elements that were common, I think, to all of these movements. No. 1 PRIDE. Pride is the most dangerous of all sins, in my opinion. I heard a fellow preacher say once, Pride is the only sin about which the devil will not make you feel guilty. Proverbs 16:18, a very short little verse. Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. Now youll notice that people usually say, Pride goes before a fall. That is not what the Bible says. The Bible says, Pride goes before destruction. So turn around. Dont continue in that way, because the end of it is destruction. I am talking to myself as much as to you. The second feature which I believe was common to all five was what I have already spoken about; A MIXTURE OF SPIRITS. There was truth and there was error. There was the Holy Spirit and there were other spirits. The way the other spirits got in was through a downward slide from the earthly to the soulish

to the demonic. Remember, the soulish is essentially self-centered. In 2 Timothy 3:15 Paul describes what the condition of humanity will be like at the close of this age. I believe we are living in that time. He lists 18 sins or moral blemishes. 2 Timothy 3:15

2 Timothy 3:15

1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

The Greek word translated perilous is only used in one other place, in Matthew 8:28 where it describes two demonized men who came against Jesus. And notice the English word therefierce. So there are going to be fierce times and they are here. You can pray as much as you like but you cannot change it because God says, Know this. There will be fierce times. You cannot change it, but you can ask God to prepare you for it. Then Paul give a list of these 18 moral blemishes: . . . for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without selfcontrol, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God.

Notice, it begins and ends with the things that people love. Love of self, love of money, and then love of pleasure. But I want to point out to you the root of it all is the love of self. Thats what lets evil in. Soulishness, being focused on me, what is God going to do for me, what do I get out of this? And then it goes on in verse 5, . . . having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! So these people with these 18 horrible moral conditions have a form of godliness. They are not unbelievers. They are not atheists. I do not believe, myself, that Paul would ever use the word godliness outside the Christian context. So these are professing Christians, and what is the problem? Self-love. Selflove is what opens the way to every one of these other problems. Self-centeredness, that leads in turn to mixture. Just one more thing and we close. The way that mixture works is this. It causes confusion and then division, because some of what is provided is good and some is bad. Some is truth and some is error. This means there are two ways people can respond. Some will focus on the error and reject the truth. Others will focus on the truth and accept the error. Therefore, there comes confusion and out of the confusion, division. People become aggressively committed to one or other of the alternatives. What causes it? Mixture. We cannot afford to tolerate mixture. What is the answer to mixture? Truth. The pure, undiluted truth of Gods word. It happened once in the USA that I was the only witness to an accident in the street outside our home. As a result I was required to testify in court. Before I gave my testimony, I was required to affirm that I would speak the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. That was the standard set by a secular court. How much more should we as Christians take our stand for the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

Destiny of the Life in Eternal of the all the Human Beings

We have, therefore, only two alternatives: We can exist in the presence of God, or we can exist in eternal banishment from the presence of God. Each one of us is going to experience one or the other of those choices. We are eternal-for better or for worse.
