FOREWORD
The regulations that follow apply to all students who are enrolled in this College who, uponadmission, agree to abide by the same rules and regulations and conduct themselves so as tomaintain discipline, uphold the good order of the school, preserve the fair name of the College, andactualize its Mission Statement.Aside from the norms contained in this handbook; bulletin board postings, special manualfor specific purposes, published announcements and bulletins are also utilized for the student’sactivity. The administrative bulletin boards are ordinary channels by which the Administrationinforms the student body about official business. Some administrative postings also appear in thebulletin board of the Registrar’s Office.Students are required to be aware of all postings within twenty-four (24) hours after publication. Past postings are preserved for reference in a folio available to students at theRegistrar’s Office.The administrative authority of the College is vested upon the Chairman of the Board /President and is delegated by him to the School Director or Administrator and his staff when itapplies to the different colleges of this institution.The continued attendance of any student at DMC- College Foundation, Inc. is subject tothis authority, conforming to the spirit of the on-going policies as set forth by the academiccommunity.Management

HISTORICAL PROFILE
The Dipolog Medical Center College Foundation, Inc. (DMCCFI) is the first and onlyCHED-accredited paramedical institution of the province of Zamboanga del Norte. It is situated atsuburban Dipolog City and occupies 22,500 square meters of land area. Its sprawling expansecontains four main buildings, a computer laboratory, and a Nursing Arts laboratory, with separatestructures for the library and cafeteria.DMCCFI began as an expansion program of Dipolog Medical Center Inc., a stockcorporation that started operating on August 1, 1974 as a fifteen-bed general hospital located atSta. Filomena, Dipolog City. Dipolog Medical Center (DMC) is a realization of the ideas of fifteenDipolognon medical practitioners and Msgr. Felix Zafra, former archbishop of Dipolog. They pooledtheir expertise and resources together to establish a high-quality hospital facility in the city. It tookmore than two years for the institution to a open a course of midwifery, which began operating in1977. The school was then called Dipolog Medical Center School of Midwifery.After several years of service to the community, the management of DMC felt the need for exposing more young men and women of the cities of Dipolog and Dapitan and the neighboringmunicipalities to medical training and the medical profession. Through the efforts of Chairman of the Board Atty. Albert Concha and Hospital Director Dr. Stephen Yap, the new revised Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) curriculum was opened. The permit by the Bureau of Higher Education,DECS, was granted in April 30, 1991, and the school began its first year level of BSN in a full-swingoperation.In the same year, the name of the school was changed to Dipolog Medical Center Collegeof Health Sciences. In its continuing aim for excellence and growth, the management initiated their application to the Department of Education for permits to open other Health Sciences courses. In1994, the Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (BSPT) began its first year level, and in 1996,the Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology (BSMT) and the Bachelor of Science in RadiologicTechnology (BSRT) also opened for enrollment.
 
In 1998, the Dipolog Medical Center College of Health Sciences became the DipologMedical Center College Foundation, Inc. It opened its Masters program with the course in Mastersin Public Administration, and two more bachelor degree programs, the Bachelor of Science inCriminology and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.In 2000, the DMC Science High School, Bachelor of Science in Commerce, Bachelor of Secondary Education, Bachelor of Elementary Education, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, andBachelor of Civil Engineering were opened.In 2003, in consortium with Negros Oriental State University (NORSU), the school openedits Doctor of Management, Doctor of Education, and Master of Arts in Educational Managementcourses.By 2005, DMC Science High School together with the LaSallian Schools Supervision Office(LASSO)signed a consultancy agreement that places the DMS-SHS under the Consultancy Status for aperiod of one year with LASSO recommending effective and advance of the High School until suchtime that the school will be ready for subsequent Supervisory Level.On the hand, DMCCFI began its recruitment and staffing agency-the Staff Builders, whichassists nurses and physical therapists for employment in the United States.DMMCFI has also been granted by USAID an extension to its hospital facility through theJPAIGO. Presently, the college has been granted Applicant Status by PAASCU. Likewise, thecollege is also pursuing its status for the Institutional Monitoring and Evaluation for QualityAssurance in Higher Education (IQuaME). Dipolog Medical Center College Foundation, Inc. is now a solid, successful landmark of Zamboanga del Norte. Its commitment to excellence is constant and unwavering, Through theyears, it has earned the respect of the academic community, the loyalty of its employees andstudents, and the trust of the people and community it continues to serve.
PHILOSOPHY
Dipolog Medical Center College Foundation, Inc. maintains that full development of aperson's potentials depends largely on the nature, level and suitability of stimuli and challenges heencounters in daily life. The role of DMCCFI as institution is such that it serves as a rich interactiveenvironment where the student is continually encouraged, motivated, and more importantly,challenged to produce the optimal use of his innate and acquired skills.
