After reading this note, you will realize this

misunderstanding!
It is from Surah Tauba Verse 5

But when the forbidden months

Are past, then fight and slay
The Pagans wherever ye find them,
And seize them, beleaguer them,
And lie in wait for them
In every stratagem (of war);
But if they repent,
And establish regular prayers.
And pay Zakat
Then open the way for them:
For Allah is Oft-forgiving,
Most Merciful.
Quran (9:5)

The Verse above says when you find a Pagan (disbelievers in Makkah) then
slay them!

This Verse is taken out of context. The Western Media uses this verse to
show that Islam is a barbaric religion!

You may think Islam is barbaric but read the full context and you will realize
that it is the opposite!

I'll give the full context below and the explanation and you will know the
truth!

The full context is Surah Tauba Verse 1 to 6

A (declaration) of immunity
From Allah and His Messenger,
To those of the Pagans
With whom you have contracted
Mutual alliances:-
Go ye, then for four months,
(As ye will), throughout the land,
But know yet that ye cannot
Frustrate Allah (by your falsehood)
But that Allah will cover
With shame those who reject Him.

And an announcement from Allah

And His Messenger, to the people
(Assembled) on the day
Of the Great Pilgrimage,-
That Allah and His Messenger
Dissolve (treaty) obligations
With the Pagans.
If, then, ye repent,
It were best for you;
But if ye turn away,
Know ye that ye cannot
Frustrate Allah, And proclaim
A grievous chastisement to those
Who reject Faith.

(But the treaties are) not dissolved

With those Pagans with whom
Ye have entered into alliance
And who have not subsequently
Failed you in aught,
Nor aided any one against you.
So fulfil your engagements
With them to the end
Of their terms: for Allah
Loveth the righteous.

If one amongst the Pagans

Ask thee for asylum,
Grant it to him,
So that he may hear the Word
Of Allah; and then escort him
To where he can be secure,
That is because they are
Men without knowledge.

Quran (9:1-6)

EXPLANATION
Muslims and the Pagans (unbelievers) of Makkah had a peace treaty. The
Pagans unilaterally broke the peace treaty.

So in the verses which Allah revealed, Allah is giving the Pagans an

ultimatum. Allah is giving them 4 months to put things straight or face a
declaration of war. It was the Pagans who broke the peace treaty, not the
Muslims.

So Allah is telling the Muslims to fight if the Pagans want war.

So Allah is saying kill the Pagans in the Battlefield. Allah is not telling them
to break into the Pagans houses and kill them.

This is what anyone would do. What do you expect Allah to say, go and get
killed?

It is a normal command in the battlefield!

BUT READ THE 6TH VERSE AND IT SHOWS

ALLAH'S GENEROSITY!
If one amongst the Pagans
Ask thee for asylum,
Grant it to him,
So that he may hear the Word
Of Allah; and then escort him
To where he can be secure,
That is because they are
Men without knowledge.
Quran (9:6)

Allah says if the Pagans want safety, then escort them to a place where they
will be secure and give them protection.

So Allah is telling the Muslim to provide security to the dsbelievers if they

ask for it!

This show Allah's generosity!

Islam is a religion of peace!

America, Europe and Israel, they find fault with Islam.

America and Europe are Christian and Israel is Jewish.

So these people accuse Islam. We'll see what their books say.

and sheep, camel and ass."

What did the infant and suckling do to be killed?

If Allah is barbaric, then what is the God of
Christians and Jews?
The Jews who accuse Islam of terrorism.

Below is what Moses (whom Jews follow) commands his army in The Old
Testement which is believed by both Christians and Jews

"Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man,
but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man."

If Prophet Muhammad is a terrorist, then what is

Moses?
These are from the Christian and Jewish Bible (Old Testement)!

So the Christians and Jews of America, Europe and Israel have no right to
accuse Islam!

I request Muslims to take note of this so that no when anyone accuses Islam,
then you can quote from their books and they will not dare accuse Islam
again!
