INTRODUCTION Effective management of projects is considered critical to the accomplishment of growth in the rapidly changing environment. With the rising globalization and multicultural interfaces in international projects, management of the international projects becomes more challenging. During past, a number of novel tools and methodologies widely used worldwide in managing projects in the international environment. The managers in developing and emerging countries like Tanzania need continuously update with the new approaches and techniques of project management. It has been observed that the project management requires inter-functional participation across organizations and industries, the managers at different levels and across functions need systematic training and development in this area. Looking into dearth of quality and cost-effective training facilities in this area, MUDCC takes pleasure to introduce this uniquely designed program jointly with ISAE, Brazil.

COURSE OBJECTIVES To develop skills for project management in the international crosscultural settings; To make the participants familiar with the latest project management tools; To make the participants familiar with the emerging project management methodology; and To sensitize on ethical and human rights issues in international projects. CERTIFICATE Certificate of participation to be jointly issued by ISAE, Brazil and MUDCC PROGRAM FEE T. Shs. 800,000/= per participant. The fee includes tuition, training materials, refreshment and lunch during training. Special 15% discount on registration fee would be extended to Mzumbe University students/ alumni. An Early Bird discount of 5% of the fee to those register before Friday, 5th June, 2013.

DATE: 29 JULY 3 AUGUST, 2013 Venue: The program will be organized in Dar Es Salaam. Exact detail of the Hotel/ conference centre would be mailed to registered participants along with the course-pack. REGISTRATION/ PAYMENT-METHOD: 1. Interested participants are requested to complete the Registration form available on MUDCC website http://dcc.mzumbe.ac.tz and email the completed application forms to dcc-shortcourses@mzumbe.ac.tz. Formas may also be completed on-line. 2. An amount of T. Shs. 100,000/= should be deposited as part of the fee at the time of registration. This amount will be adjusted towards total program fee at the time of full payment. 3. All payments should be made through the following account:

ABOUT RESOURCE PERSON


Prof. Wanderlei Marinho da Silva did degree in Electrical Engineering followed by masters and doctorate. He has worked for the Brazilian Navy since 1982. He is the Academic Coordinator of the Executive Education Program on Project Management at The George Washington University School of Business in Washington DC USA (2011 e 2012), in partnership with Getulio Vargas Foundation and ISAE. He did an Executive course on Negotiation for Senior Executives at Harvard University in Cambridge and Project Management course at The George Washington University School of Business in Washington. He did an Executive Program in Business and Management for International Professionals at University of California and a postgraduation course at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology UMIST. He is a member of the Project Management Institute - PMI - EUA, e PMI Chapter So Paulo since 2009. He is a consulting advisor of several national and global corporations. He has published more than 35 articles in national and international conferences.

The facilitation team also includes other experts: Prof. Faustin Kamuzora, Prof. Andrew H Mbwambo, Dr. David Nyange and Prof. Shiv Tripathi.
