BIBLEPRINCIPLES
ON
VACCINES

V A C C IN ES
Thefollowing isastatement onthe teachings of LORD'S COVENANTCHURCH in relation to immuniza-tions, inoculations, vaccines, andrelated so-called "cures," "preventa-tives," or "medicines" given byinjection into the body-We believe Christians are notto demand or accept any suchinjections for the following reasonsasgleaned from God's Holy Bible-The church is to be holy.Ephesians 5:27,
That He mighpresent it to Himsel
a
glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, oany such thing; but that it should bholy and without blemish.
Individuals are to be holy.Romans12:1,
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, thaye present your bodie
a
living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,which is your reasonable service.
Also, 1Peter1:15-16,
But
as
He which hath called you is holy,
so
be ye holy in all manner of conversation [life]because it is written, Be ye holy; for
am
holy.

Holy
means not only to be inservice to God, but to be "clean." Wehave a saying, "Cleanliness is next togodliness." That that is true isverified in the Old Testament passagePeter was referring to in his quote inthe preceding paragraph. It was fromLeviticus 11
:44-45,
For I
am
the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctifyourselves, and ye shall be holy; for
am
holy, neither shall ye defilyourselves with any manner ocreeping thing that creepeth upon thearth. For
am
the LORD thabringeth you up out of the land oEgypt, to be your God: ye shaltherefore be holy, for
am
holy.
Theseverses were at the end of the list ofclean and unclean beasts in thechapter where God's people arecommanded NOT to eat the unclean. The implication here is obvious-thatif they were to eat that which is
unclean,
they would not be
holy.
This same doctrine is inDeuteronomy
14.
It begins,
Yeare thchildren of the LORD your God; yshall not cut yourselves, nor make anbaldness between your eyes for thdead
[these were common heathenreligious practices in that day],
for thou art an holy people unto the LORthy God, and the LORD hath chosethee to b
a
peculiar people unt
