FIRE EQUIPMENT

1) Fire Extinguisher :i) Fire extinguisher is an active fire protection device used to extinguish or control small fires often in emergency situations. ii) Typically a fire extinguisher consist of a hand held cylindrical pressure vessel containing an agent which can be discharge to extinguish a fire. Installation :Fire extinguishers are typically fitted tn building at an easily auessible location such as against a wall in a high traffic area.

2) Fire Sprinklers :i) A fire sprinkler is the part of a fire sprinkler system that dischargs water when the effects of a fire have been detected. ii) Each sprinkler is held closed by either a heat sensitive glass bulbe or two part metal link held together with alloy such as wood metal.

iii)

The glass bulbe or link applies a pressure to a cap which out as a plug which prevents water from flowing , until the

ambient temperature around the sprinkler reaches activation temperature of indivisual sprinkler.

3) Fire Alarm System :-

i)

An automatic fire alarm system is designed to detect the unwanted pressure of fire by monitoring environmental changes associated with combustion.

ii)

Automatic fire alarm systems are intended to notify the building occupants to evaluate in the event of a fire or either emergency.
