100 Poems To Heal A Broken Heart

Published by Xlibris
This book started out as a collection of poems written to my wife, named Cindy. They were penned to ease her pain and suffering from pancreatic cancer. They were to tell her how much I loved her, and how much I would miss her, once she was gone. She told me that they made her more peaceful, and she died very easily.
Her death caused me to write much different poetry, now I needed peace. I missed Cindy so much (we had been married for thirty-eight years). These poems were about healing MY broken heart. They worked! In time I felt human again.
The final section is composed of the verses that were written after I understood that I wanted to be in love again. They were hopeful, and loving, exactly as I felt. Finding love can be difficult, and it was for me, I hadn’t dated in almost fifty years! These last poems were intended to win the love of a wonderful woman that I met on a dating site. She had been in a couple of relationships that had not ended well, and was somewhat reluctant to throw herself into a new relationship wholeheartedly. I decided that she was the woman that I loved, and would deluge her with poems to make her see that I cared about her like no one else could. That involved helping to cure HER broken heart. Much to my delight, it worked! We married in 2013, and are so much in love.
