Gavin D. J. Harper, is a sustainable technology consultant, based in the UK, working with a wide variety of organisations, companies and NGO’s to deliver information and awareness about cutting-edge alternativetechnologies which can be used to bring the world forward into a sustainable future. He is able to advise on arange of clean energy systems, sustainable construction technologies, and the engineering business case behindthem. Gavin is pro-active about engaging young people in science, engineering and technology, and hispublished work reflects a desire to make these subjects accessible and interesting to a wide audience—takingcutting edge technologies “from the lab” and translating them to a form that can be replicated at home orschool. Gavin’s current research focuses on Alternative Vehicles and Fuels, looking at the structure of the FuelCell Industry through the lens of Michael Porter’s ‘Clustering’ theory.
