having been first duly sworn testifies as follows:

MR. TORRENS: Today is Monday, April 23,
6
2012. It is approximately 11:08 a.m. I am
7
Sergeant Torrens, an internal affairs
8
investigator for the Miami-Dade Schools Police
9
Department. Also present is Detective Alicia
10
Neal, an internal affairs investigator for the
11
Miami-Dade Schools Police Department.
12
Detective Alvin, please sir, if you could
13
please read the affidavit in the record.
14
THE WITNESS: I, Alvin Marin, being first
15
duly sworn hereby state that my name is Alvin
16
Marin, reside -- work at GIU. My date of birth
17
is 7/25/1961. Contact number is 305-216-1848.
18
Making the following statement to Sergeant Ed
19
Torrens, who has identified himself as internal
20
affairs investigator for the Miami-Dade Schools
21
Police Department, State of Florida, in
22
connection with case IA 12-001, 002, 003, 005
23
and 006. I am of sound mind and I am not under
24
the influence of drugs or alcohol at this time.

I understand that giving false information in

this statement is in violation of Florida

Statutes 837.05, false reports to law
3
enforcement authorities, punishable as a
4
misdemeanor of the first degree, and 837.06
5
making false official statements punishable as
6
a misdemeanor of the second degree.

MR. TORRENS: Okay sir, and did you sign?

THE WITNESS: I signed and witnessed by
9
yourself.

MR. TORRENS: Okay, thank you sir.

Detective, are you appearing here today without

any promises and without any threats or duress

to provide information in an investigation

conducted by the Miami-Dade Schools Police

Department?

we're here regarding two police reports pertaining

to T.M. around about the week of March 26, it was a

Monday. Okay, the media published or referenced
4
excerpts from our police reports concerning T.M. We
5
also have information that media was out here at GIU
6
during the day, this is going to be March -- that
7
Monday, the 26. Okay, basically are you -- I want
8
to ask you, are you aware of the T.M. case or police
9
reports pertaining to T.M.?
10
A First time I heard of two police reports.
11
I know of him being a student out at one of the
12
schools. Didn't know of anything involving a police
13
report or anything of that nature.

Q Okay, have you through RMS looked at any
15
or searched --

A No.

Q Just out of curiosity?

A No, not at all.

Q Okay, has any member of GIU called you
20
over and maybe showed you a copy of --

A No, not at all.
