Elicits students prior knowledge.
Students have to brainstorm their ideas and try to listing everythingthey know about the topic.
Difficult for students with no priorknowledge
Students have a problem to listing in‘K’ column and hard for them to have ageneral idea of the topic.2.
Easy to use and organize.
Students could divide theimportant and not so important points by dividing them into theappropriate column.
They could see clearly the pointsin order to answer thecomprehension questions.
Take time to complete.
Students have to draw the framework and use a lot of time to think aboutwhat to list in each column.
Not appropriate to use in exams because the time is limited.3.
Sets a purpose for reading.
Readers have the idea about thetext before reading the whole text.
Readers be more focus to find theimportant points while reading.
Not effective for reading fictionmaterials.
Readers do not have any idea about thestory or novel. So, this strategy is notsuitable.22
