Excerpt from novel:
“wait!” I cried as I saw him making his way down the stairs. He looked up. “Come back!” he looked as confused as I felt. My heart was controlling my head, I had no idea why I was doing this. Ok, so I did, but I was nervous as hell! As soon as he got to the top of the stairs, I looked him dead in the eye. And the lights dimmed and I ran towards him, jumping into his strong and able arms. We kissed for the longest time, Bezk holding me the whole time, and as soon as broke apart people came out of their apartments, dancing and singing. We fell in love, the lights faded out and the credits rolled. And it felt like those moments in a movie. Only this wasn’t a movie. I had to snap out of it.

“Yes Tara?” he looked at me expectantly.

“Why?” I said, breaking off his gaze when I did, “why me?”
