SAP HANA for retail customers

Following an outsourcing agreement, itelligenceoperates Eldorado’s SAP solutions in its data centers in Germany.Rapid business growth prompted Eldorado to explore SAP HANA solutions. The most eective marketing campaigns may lead tohigher demand than planned, presenting the business risk o out-o-stock positions and lost sales. To avoid over- or under-stocking,Eldorado wanted to get real-time insight into sales data, which would allow stock levels to be adjusted and goods distributed tomeet sales demand more accurately. With huge volumes o data to analyze, broad-brush analysis was not sucient. However, the essential detailed data at the Stock KeepingUnit (SKU) level on some 9,000 items in 370 shops and our warehouses could not be analyzed in a timely ashion.Eldorado engaged itelligence to solve the challenge o analyzingsales data ast enough to optimize its inventory and logisticsprocesses. Working together with Eldorado, the itelligence teamdeployed SAP HANA to power Eldorado’s SAP NetWeaverBusiness Warehouse and SAP Merchandise and Assortment Planning applications. The SAP HANA solution runs at anitelligence high-availability datacenter, and replaced an Oracledatabase.
