in the vase by the altarshe walked forwardher hand brushingagainst the topsof the wooden pewson either sideone could get married hereshe saidif you had few guestsand friendsyou saidgazing at her dark hairpulled tightin a ponytailtied with red ribbonher light green dressfitted looselyher sandals heldher bare feetmaybe one wantedfew guestsmaybe just a few witnessesand the clergymanshe said softlyturning to look at youher dark eyescaptured youand held you fixed
