Venezuela has offered political asylum to Edward Snowden but obviously he cannot fly his way to the Latin

American nation from his current location in Europe or the Moscow airport. This is because US intelligence will relay information to the US Pentagon about any flight carrying him and Obama will order fighter-bombers to intercept the flight and force it down onto US soil. Obamas earlier statement that he wont scramble jets to bring back Snowden cannot be taken seriously except as a joke. The man has proved himself to be a pathological liar or compulsive utterer of falsehoods and grandstanding pronouncements. There are two possible routes for Snowden to reach the Latin American nation. One is the Murmansk route or the very northerly route and it is going to be costly. Perhaps the Russian government can foot the bill. Another route is the Kaliningrad oblast route or the more southerly route but which has to pass through the Baltic Sea that is surrounded by Nato nations or scummy US minions. These two routes can be traversed by ocean-going vessels like fast missile cruisers. Or by submarines. But travelling on a surface ship is more comfortable than being holed up inside a sub. This proves the need for all free nations to build and operate fast missile cruisers.
