birthday. With Q150 celebrations continuing throughout the state, wealso celebrate the year of Creativity in Education.Incorporating both of these events, Wooloowin State School is proud topresent the First Annual
Creative Arts Spectacular 
which will be held at
TheOld Museum
, Gregory Terrace, Bowen Hills on Saturday 18

and Sunday 19
th
July 2009. The Creative Arts Spectacular is a showcase for emerging artistsof Queensland.We are delighted to invite you to submit the enclosed Entry Form together with images of your work to be included in the exhibition. The Art competitionwill be held in Studio One at The Old Museum.Our major sponsor for the
Emerging Art Prize
is one of Brisbane’s finest ArtGalleries,
Gallery 2120 
, supporting this event with prize money of $2000 for first place. Other prizes are allocated for second and third in the Open 2 D artcategory and also a
Peoples Choice Award 
.Entry fee is
$25
(non-refundable), with a
maximum of 3 pieces

). All works must be for sale and a 25% commission will beretained by the Wooloowin State School Parents & Citizens Association.The winning works will be selected by independent judges and announced atthe Gala Opening Evening on Saturday July 18
th
. All entries will be eligible for the peoples choice award of $250 sponsored by

.We would also like to invite you to attend the Gala Opening Evening. Ticketsare $35 or $60 for a double and will be available for purchase soon from TheOld Museum and through Energyart Gallery, Newstead.We sincerely hope you will be able to exhibit with us this year. It is awonderful opportunity for your work to be shown in an icon of Brisbane and tobe a part of such a prestigious event.

ENTRY FORM:
Complete and return to Wooloowin State School by

2009. If you would like a small photograph of yourself and/or artiststatement displayed alongside your work please return this with your EntryForm (limit to 1 A4 page).

ENTRY FEE:Fee of $25 per artist is payable upon registration for amaximum of 3 pieces. Cheques are to be made payable to Wooloowin StateSchool P&C C.A.S or direct deposit to:Wooloowin State School P&C Association,Commonwealth Bank,BSB: 064114Account no: 00900179 Reference: Yourname and C.A.S3.COMMISSION:All works displayed must be for sale. As this is one of Wooloowin State School’s major fundraising events, a 25% commission of allwork sold over the duration of the exhibition will be retained by WSS P&C.4.TERMS OF PAYMENT:Artist payment for works sold will be processed within 14days after the close of the exhibition.5.DELIVERY & COLLECTION:All artworks to be delivered to Studio One at The OldMuseum, Gregory Terrace, Bowen Hills between 10am and2pm on Friday July 17

. Unsold works to be collected from The Old Museum between 2 and 5pm on Sunday July 19
th
.We are unable to store any work. You will need to presentyour receipt to collect work.6. PRESENTATION:All work must be ready for hanging, suitably framed andmarked with artists name and contact details. The price of each item is to beclearly displayed and securely attached on the back of the artwork. Pricesmust include GST where applicable.7.INSURANCE:Artists are required to insure all of their own work duringtransit, and for the duration of the exhibition.8.OTHER:Entries must be unaided work of the entrant or artist andmust be completed within the past 12 months.Due to space restrictions in the venue, there will a limitednumber of art works able to be hung. Once this quota if filled we will be unable to accept any more nominations.NOTE: The Creative Arts Spectacular Committee reserves the right to selectworks to be displayed at its sole discretion. All entries however will be viewed bythe judges. All exhibitors must allow their work to be reproduced by the CreativeArts Spectacular Committee for publicity purposes.
