Offered with the HBS Social Enterprise Initiative

STUDENTTEACHER CONTENT
Lower test scores. Higher dropout rates. Fewer qualifed teachers. Diminished resources. These are just aew o the critical challenges acing U.S. urban schools today. While some urban school districts can pointto success stories, most do not have the necessary management models or strategy to sustain consistentperormance. To address these issues, Harvard Business School (HBS), Harvard Graduate School o Education(HGSE), and the HBS Social Enterprise Initiative established the Public Education Leadership Program(PELP) in 2007. Based on the unprecedented success o the Public Education Leadership Project, an ongoinginitiative developed by HBS, HGSE, and leaders rom several o the largest U.S. public school systems in2003, this Executive Education program helps district leaders drive improved perormance throughout theirschools. By integrating both managerial and leadership best practices, your team will learn how to execute astrategy to achieve excellence across the entire district, as well as establish a culture o collaboration, highexpectations, and accountability or your school system—and your students.www.exed.hbs.edu/programs/pelp/
