Before we investigate the animal kingdom, the Bible has something tosay about which plants are edible. "And God said, Behold, Ihave givenyou every herb BEARING SEED, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the FRUIT of a tree YIELDING SEED; to youit shall be for meat (food) ... I have given every GREEN herb for meat(food)" (Gen.1 :29-30).Thus, NUTS, FRUITS, GRAINS, and VEGETABLES are allowed. Theyare all GREEN at one time or another in their development and all have(or are) SEEDS.
