Teacher: Bushra Afreen May 2013
Ali, you have just started few weeks back attending this centre. You are doing really well andnow you seem to be much more settled. I have noticed that everyday when your Mum dropsyou off, you wave goodbye to her. This shows that you trust your teachers. You have learnedto rely on other adults. And when your mum goes, y
ou always ask your teachers “where’s
?” and I reply “your Mum has gone home. She’ll come back after lunch to pick you up”.
This has helped you making connections with the routines of the day as I
often says “
lunch, we’ll go outside to play
and then your mum will come back
She always does
Ali is learning to feel safe in his new environment. As he gains more confidence in his newSetting, he is beginning to establish friendships,
which I’m sure will help him give
a sense of belonging. He is learning that he can rely on other adults. He is starting to trust his teachersand learning to engage with and enjoy the experiences the teachers offer. He is learning that
always comes back for him’. He
has also gained an understanding of our dailyroutines. He is settling in really well.
