County Profile - Geary County, KS
Geary County is one of the 105 counties in the state of Kansas. The 2007 populationsestimate lists the population to be 25,150. According to 2000 estimates, it has 384.69square miles in land area and a population density of 72.6 people per square mile. Theaverage household size is 2.61 persons (2000), and the median household income is$31,614 (2004) (US census Bureau).

Geary County has a population of 25,150 as of July 1, 2007 (US Census Bureau). Thepopulation decreased by 10% from the year 2000 to 2007. As per the 2000 censussurvey, population of the county was 27,947 with median age of 29.1 years. In 2000,Geary County had 25.2% of its population under the age of 15 years, 33.2% in the agegroup 15 to 34 years, 29.1% in the age group 35 years to 59 years and 12.5% of itspopulation above 60 years of age.
