Pottawatomie County is one of the 105 counties in the state of Kansas. The 2007populations estimate lists the population to be 19,396. According to 2000 estimates, ithas 844.24 square miles in land area and a population density of 21.6 people persquare mile. The average household size is 2.65 persons (2000), and medianhousehold income is $46,616 (2004) (US census Bureau).
Population Estimates 
Pottawatomie County has a population of 19,396 as of July 1, 2007 (US CensusBureau). The population increased by 6.52% from the year 2000 to 2007. As per the2000 census survey, population of the county was 18,209 with median age of 35.9years. In 2000, Pottawatomie County had 24% of its population under the age of 15years, 24.9% in the age group 15 to 34 years, 33.9% in the age group 35 years to 59years and 17.3% of the population above 60 years of age.
