County Profile - Saline County, KS
Saline County is one of the 105 counties in the state of Kansas. The 2007 populationsestimate lists the population to be 54,583. According to 2000 estimates, it has 719.61square miles in land area and a population density of 74.4 people per square mile. Theaverage household size is 2.43 persons (2000), and median household income is$39,216 (2004) (US census Bureau).
Population Estimates 
Saline County has a population of 54,583 as of July 1, 2007 (US Census Bureau). Thepopulation increased by 1.84% from the year 2000 to 2007. As per the 2000 censussurvey, population of the county was 53,597 with median age of 36.1 years. In 2000,Saline County had 21.5% of its population under the age of 15 years, 26.9% in the agegroup 15 to 34 years, 33.7% in the age group 35 years to 59 years and 17.8% ofpopulation above 60 years of age.
