Wabaunsee County is one of the 105 counties in the state of Kansas. The 2007populations estimate lists the population to be 6,870. According to 2000 estimates, ithas 797.38 square miles in land area and a population density of 8.6 people per squaremile. The average household size is 2.57 persons (2000), and median householdincome is $44,997 (2004) (US census Bureau).

Wabaunsee County has a population of 6,870 as of July 1, 2007 (US Census Bureau).The population decreased by 0.22% from the year 2000 to 2007. As per the 2000census survey, population of the county was 6,885 with median age of 39.5 years. In2000, Wabaunsee County had 21.2% of its population under the age of 15 years, 21.8%in the age group 15 to 34 years, 36.7% in the age group 35 years to 59 years and20.3% of its population above 60 years of age.
