1.1 Mild
Non-severe mild dengue is defined by 2 criteria of the following parameters: 1. Fever 2. Retro-orbital pain 3. Myalgia 4. Arthralgia 5. Rash 6. Haemorrhagic manifestations 7. Leukopenia and supportive serology or occurrence at same location and time as other cases of dengue

All non-severe cases have a risk to develop severe dengue, but there is a higher risk for severe dengue with the following (predictive) risk factors: DENCO and expert consensus

1.2 Moderate
Severe dengue is defined by either one of the following: 1. Severe plasma leakage - Clinical shock - Any evidence of fluid accumulation with respiratory distress 2. Severe bleeding as evaluated by clinician 3. Severe organ involvement - Severe liver involvement with AST >= 1000 or ALT >= 1000 - Impaired consciousness with GCS < 15 or BCS < 5
Non-severe mild dengue is defined by 2 criteria of the following parameters: 1. Fever 2. Retro-orbital pain 3. Myalgia 4. Arthralgia 5. Rash 6. Haemorrhagic manifestations 7. Leukopenia and supportive serology or occurrence at same location and time as other cases of dengue
3 or more present: 1. Clinical Evidence of clinical fluid accumulation Evidence of mucosal bleeding Liver enlargement >= 2cm Persistent vomiting Lethargy or restlessness Skin flush or rash Abdominal pain or tenderness Tourniquet Test positive 2. Laboratory WBC <= 2.0 Hct increase (%) >= 20 Platelets <= 50
