To our Dearest Maggie - Jacqui Rayner

Anyone who knew her Would know, what spirit, what fight Just to have her in your corner Was an honor, a torch, a light As a Mother, you couldnt wish for a more loving, encouraging force, But dont dare upset then, Shed carve into you, like a three course She loved cooking and boy could she Utensils were drugs, the nutcase, And her home was a haven for everyone With good food, and a bed, a safe place Her work mates were precious, the stories she told, Were so funny shed laugh til she cried, And I cant believe were all sat here, Our Maggie fought on till she died Well never forget you, our mate, family, kin And remember your causes and never give in. Well dance to Motown, reggae, Amy and soul, Drink, cry, be merry, try to fill in the hole For your loved my dear friend, and well never forget. Your fight till the end, No Fuss, No Regret.
