Introduction to the Project
Youth of the World! Mainstreaming
global awareness in youth work”,
is a new project,implemented in Cyprus by Future Worlds Center. This is a 36- month (2013-2016)international project supported through the Non
state Actors and Local Authorities inDevelopment Programme of the European Union (Europe Aid). T
he project will provideunique opportunities for Youth organizations/ structures youth trainers and facilitators andthe youth itself to get more involved in the area of Global learning/Global Education. Thisincludes training seminars, international summer school, educational activities, while alsocatering to the special needs of every group we work with.
The project is implemented by an international partnership of European partnersfrom Bulgaria, Austria, Estonia, Lithuania, Scotland, Cyprus and an associate partnerfrom Sub Saharan Africa, Ghana. More specifically;

Aims of the project
Youth of the World aims to mainstream awareness about global issues within theactivities of youth organisations, working in different spheres of youth work. Forthis action, specific results have been identified;1) Increased public awareness among young citizens on the globalinterdependencies between EU and developing countries;2) Increased engagement of young people in promoting fairer relations in the worldand sustainable way of living;3) Better integration of global development issues into the non- formal educationalsphere regarding young people.
The project partners have identified specific groups to reach through the project;
Youth organisations/ structures
include NGOs working with youth,informal youth groups, youth councils and parliaments, youth centers andpublic agencies working with youth or any structure out of the formaleducational system, which works with young people and influences theirvalues and behavior. The concrete themes (spheres of work) of theorganizations/structures to be involved in the action vary and are not selection criteria.
Youth trainers and facilitators
include non-formal education trainers andfacilitators with rich expe
rience in working with young people. They don’t
obligatory fall under the age group of TG. They have experience in planning,implementing and evaluating non-formal training seminars and workshops and
