The vicious pre-empteddisasters in this world thatare inflicted by humans oneach other only to establishsupremacy of one religionover the other and one raceover the other, has triggereda series of malicious actsbeyond imagination. Eachact being more malevolentthan the other in retaliationand retribution. It seemsridiculous waste of humanlife and resources only toprove their point. All theseacts and killings makes onethink - what exactly is thevalue of human life. Is all thisnecessary only to prove apoint of supremacy? Thebasic question - What isGod’s religion? What isGod’s caste? What is God’sNationality?Since our childhood wehave been told that God isonly one and eachNationality and religiouspracticing people call Himwith different Names. Weare aware of this fact, andyet when there is a debateabout religion and practicewe lose our temper peace ofmind and argue till we gohoarse only to prove ourmethod of worship andreligion is superior than theanother’s point of view. Welack tolerance and areegoistical. This attitude isthe main root cause forfights, killings and genocide- all such waste only toestablish ones supremacyover the other and prove theirstrength. We even swear byGod while acting. Do wereally understand God, or isit only an act put up to showpeople we are part of a herdwho fear God and are oneamong the many who getdispelled by uncertaintieshence drag God into ourconversation though we useHIS name as blasphemy.God does have a caste,religion and nationality,shocking isn’t it? God’sreligion is LOVE and God’scaste is HUMANITY and Hisnationality is UNIVERSE.Shirdi Sai BABA the, Sadguruduring his time knew thatamongst the people of thevarious races, who visitedhim something like hereditaryantipathy subsistedparticularly between twomajor races, Hindus andmuslims and this very oftenburst out in riots, murdersarson loot and it seems thatif he had elected to adoptsome of the both their waysof life and religion. His objectwas to draw to him people ofboth these races to providefor them a common groundfor meeting and worship sothat all misunderstandingswould vanish and theirattention would be drawn andfixed on the one universalfeature of devotion, commonto both religions, thatdifferences between them inthe forms and formalities ofthe religions, of both wouldnot be made much of, wouldbe tolerated with a liberalmind on both sides, thatstrifes and feuds would giveplace to unity and friendlyfeelings and relations. HenceRama Navami and Urs wasformed to dispel the illfeelings and sink theirdifferences of non-essentials, methods ofworship and meet as friendsor brothers - sons. Thedifference in the forms ofworship of one and the samegod between Hindus andMuslims coupled withignorance of his real natureand want of toleration is theroot cause of all theirdissensions, disputes strifesetc.(Saibaba the Superman- Shri Sai Sharan Anand).BABA worked relentlessly tonarrow the differencesprevailing among people ofdifferent classes andpractices. That is the reasonwhy He let Hindu practices beobserved in the Masjid, andallowed Muslims to reciteQuaran. We call ourselvesas followers of BABA and yetwe are the first ones to putpeople of other practicesdown. How many times wehave engaged in a talkshowing our sincerity indoing our rituals towardsBABA. I remember ininvolving conversationswhere each one of usclaimed what we do - tryingto belittle others by ourrituals. While worshipingBABA, rituals and formalitiesare not necessary, one neednot say Vishnusahasranam,Gayatri mantra, LalithaSahasranam, or sing all theaarthis and bhajans withoutbhav. If repeating gods namealone without bhav or bhaktiwere to confer peace andhappiness then the numberof people lamenting therelosses and imploring god torelieve them would havereduced. It is the feeling anddepth of love one hastowards the god while takingHis name that counts.
