independent plastics and rubber consultancy. Rapra provides comprehensive consultancy, technology
and information services for the polymer industry and industries using plastics and rubber in any
component, product or production process.
I provided secretarial support to the Manager of the Electronic Information Group:
• Designed and developed a product information system for a client’s global sales team within a MS
Windows environment.
• Prepared training material and assisted in a 3-day workshop at a multi-national company in Holland,
converted electronic information into HTML for company website.
• Database administration:
Rapra’s technical facilities are complimented by an extensive Polymer Information Centre. I maintained
part of “The Polymer Library”, the world’s most comprehensive plastics and rubber information
database in the public domain.
• I made the database available in hardcopy, CD-ROM and via the Internet.
• Helped produce a range of publications including Journals, Industrial Analysis Reports, Review Reports
and global Directories, detailed in a Publications Catalogue.
