I served with General McKiernan in Fort Riley Kansas in 1974-75. I was a Platoon Sergeant and he was our Company XO. He was always straight and to the point and a great officer. I met him again in Germany in 1986 and I was looking for a reassignment to anothjer unit and he offered to put in a good word for me but his command didn't want to do it. I am proud to habve known and worked with this outs
