BACKGROUND:

In March 2009, the newly formed ACCESS 2011distributed a survey to all regions of the AlmaguinHighlands (see Appendix A). The survey’s purposewas to obtain public feedback regarding potentialcommunity fundraising projects for the futureAlmaguin Highlands Secondary School, which isslated to open in the fall of 2011.The results of the 511 returned surveys are detailedin the following report.

The recently completed feasibility study regarding the future Almaguin Highlands SecondarySchool suggested that we establish fundraising priorities for additional features that will improveopportunities for students and the community at large in the new school
