In recent years, the impact of funding educational, social and religious institutions bySalafi/Wahhabi networks in the Muslim world has become remarkable. This findingopens a political issue in an environment that is undergoing considerable social tensionsand very rapid transformations. The main issue of this study concerns the purpose of these funds. Are they purely charitable or are they elements of a political controlstrategy? This study, devoted to the case of Egypt, Tunisia, Bosnia, Pakistan andIndonesia came to a common conclusion for these five countries. Financial aid grantedby Salafi/Wahhabi, whether by institutional or private donators, systematically pursue agoal of political influence.
