2009-2010
edition of theLiberty High School Mountaineer Marching Band! Being a member of the LHS Band requiresa great amount of responsibility and commitment. Over the past few years the band hasbeen recognized on the local, state, and national levels as an outstanding musicalorganization. You must be willing to perform to the best of your abilities and to cooperatewith the directors in order to uphold the reputation that has been set forth. BAND CAMP DATES
August 10-13 5:00PM - 9:00PM (Freshmen at 4:00PM)August 17-20 5:00PM - 9:00PM (Freshmen at 4:00PM) 
Note: Attendance at both weeks of band camp is required!We can’t teach you if you are not here!
 
Band Camp Notes 
Band camp will run from 5:00PM - 9:00PM both weeks with incoming freshmen and newband members reporting one hour earlier for “freshmen fundamentals”. The annual band camp fee is $75.00 per student; however $15 of this fee will be refundedat the end of the season when the assigned band uniform is returned with original garmentbag, hanger, and hat box. One portion of this fee will be used to help fund routine bandcamp expenses, paying for additional instructors and drill design, medical supplies, snacks,water, etc. Another portion of the fee covers the cost of year end uniform cleaning anduniform maintenance. The final portion of the annual fee allows us to provide each studentwith a logo t-shirt, a tour t-shirt, and white gloves.Checks should be made payable to: LIBERTY BAND BOOSTERS. All forms (information,consent to travel, etc.)
 
and money should be turned in on the first day of camp. Studentsare not permitted to travel with the band until all forms have been properly completed.Attendance at camp is mandatory.
 
Students will need to bring:
Instrument
 
Flip Folder and Instrument Lyre (available at Bandland and PercussionCenter)
 
Pencil (several actually)
 
Camp Fee ($75.00)
 
All Forms (information, consent to travel, etc.)
 
Cool, comfortable clothes
 
Comfortable Tennis Shoes (no sandals, flip flops, etc.)
 
Socks
 
Hat
 
Sunglasses
 
Sunscreen
 
Water Bottle – Important!!
 
NOTE: NO STUDENT WILL BE ALLOWED TO LEAVE CAMP FOR ANY REASON UNTILDISMISSAL. THIS RULE IS NECESSARY TO PROVIDE A SAFE EXPERIENCE FORYOUR CHILD. PLEASE DO NOT ASK.
 
Enclosed is a Schedule of Events. Rehearsals and Performances are required andattendance will be taken. The only excused absences will be for sickness or emergenciessuch as death or illness in the family. If you have a job or other activities, you will need toarrange your schedule so you will be at rehearsals and performances at the designatedtime. Please do this well in advance!! 
Band Boosters Meetings 
Band Boosters meetings are held the first Tuesday of the month at 7:00PM in the BandRoom. Please help support your child by becoming actively involved.
