The Native Women’s Association of Canada (NWAC) is seeking a coordinator to work on theimplementation of the Aboriginal Women’s Business Entrepreneurship Network (AWBEN).
This project will provide aspiring and current female Aboriginal entrepreneurs with opportunities tonetwork with one another and obtain resources to enhance business opportunities, skills andnetworks that will produce positive economic benefits for women and their families.
Prepare project organization and communication charts;
Track the progress and quality of work being performed;
Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the AdvisoryCommittee and project team;
Chair meetings and distribute minutes to Advisory Committee members and others if necessary;
Implement structures that will enhance emerging and current female Aboriginalentrepreneurs;
Organize and implement face to face network meetings for emerging and current femaleAboriginal entrepreneurs in various regions in Canada;
Develop partnerships to enhance network;
Attend tradeshows and conferences to promote the Network;
Promote, engage and identify Aboriginal female entrepreneurs to join the Network;
Perform all administrative and reporting duties as per
NWAC’s financial and administrative
Maintain regular dialogue and reporting to the NWAC Director assigned to this file;
Identify alternate sources of funding for the AWBEN;
Develop funding proposals;
Supervise staff/consultants if necessary; and,
Other related duties, as required.
