1.1. apresentao
A Universidade de Lisboa (UL) uma instituio pblica de referncia no espao universitrio nacional e internacional cujos eixos prioritrios incidem na centralidade da investigao, reestruturao e transversalidade dos planos de estudos, dinamizao de parcerias e reconhecimento do valor da instituio. As razes desta instituio remetem-nos s origens da Universidade Portuguesa na poca medieval. Em 1911, a Universidade de Lisboa foi refundada, tendo alargado a sua oferta formativa e de investigao. Com 100 anos de Histria, Ensino, Cultura, Patrimnio, Cincia e Inovao, a Universidade de Lisboa proporciona experincias de aprendizagem nicas. uma Universidade que quer ampliar os horizontes de vida dos seus estudantes e marcar o seu compromisso com o futuro. 2.1. Antes de viajar para Lisboa 2.1.1. Visto
Os estudantes estrangeiros provenientes de pases no integrados na Unio Europeia s podem iniciar os seus estudos na Universidade de Lisboa sendo detentores de visto de estudo devidamente vlido. Este documento tem de ser obtido junto da
Embaixada ou Consulado de Portugal existente no pas de origem. Estes estudantes devem solicitar, ao Gabinete de Relaes Internacionais da Faculdade/Instituto da UL onde vo estudar, uma Declarao que comprove a aceitao do perodo de estudos. A Declarao ser enviada para a Universidade de origem.

O pedido de visto de estudo deve ser feito com, pelo menos, um ms de antecedncia em relao data prevista de chegada a Lisboa. O visto de estudos tem a validade correspondente durao do perodo de estudos do estudante. Recomenda-se que os estudantes estrangeiros efectuem um registo (Declarao de Entrada) nos contactos abaixo indicados, at trs dias aps a entrada em Portugal. 2.1.2. Seguro de Sade

Os estudantes provenientes de pases da Unio Europeia devem obter o Carto Europeu de Seguro de Doena no pas de origem. Este carto permite o acesso e atendimento em qualquer servio de sade pblico tal como um cidado portugus. Os estudantes provenientes de pases no integrados na Unio Europeia devem efectuar um seguro privado de sade no respectivo pas de origem. recomendvel que tenham prvio conhecimento das condies e cobertura previstas para o territrio portugus. Informao sobre o Centro de Sade Escolar da UL disponvel em 5.1.5.
Informao prtica
Os estudantes provenientes de qualquer EstadoMembro da Unio Europeia (UE) no necessitam de obter um visto de estudos, bastando apenas serem titulares de um bilhete de identidade vlido. Contudo, se pretenderem permanecer em Portugal mais do que 90 dias devem registar-se no posto consular do respectivo pas de origem.

A Universidade de Lisboa no dispe de um servio responsvel pelo alojamento de estudantes estrangeiros. Por isso, fundamental que estes estudantes reservem alojamento antes de chegar a Portugal. Para os estudantes estrangeiros que optam por arrendar um quarto/apartamento aps a chegada a Lisboa, sugere-se que reservem antecipadamente um quarto para as primeiras noites numa Pousada da Juventude.

3.1. Sistema de ensino superior portugus
O ensino superior portugus integra o ensino universitrio e o ensino politcnico. O ensino universitrio ministrado em instituies universitrias pblicas, particulares e cooperativas e concordatrias. O ensino politcnico disponibilizado em instituies de ensino superior no universitrias pblicas e particulares e cooperativas. Independentemente do tipo de ensino leccionado, estas instituies esto sob a tutela do Ministrio da Educao e Cincia.
3.2. Acesso UL 3.2.1. Formao inicial - Licenciaturas e Mestrados Integrados

Os estudantes estrangeiros podem candidatar-se a cursos de 1 ciclo da Universidade de Lisboa devendo, para o efeito, satisfazer as mesmas condies que so exigidas aos estudantes nacionais. Ou seja, devem: 1. Ter aprovao num curso de ensino secundrio ou habilitao estrangeira legalmente equivalente; Os titulares de habilitaes estrangeiras devem solicitar equivalncia ao 12 ano de escolaridade, num estabelecimento de ensino secundrio portugus dotado de autonomia pedaggica. 2. Ter realizado as provas de ingresso exigidas para o curso a que se candidatam com a
classificao igual ou superior mnima fixada; P ara os estudantes titulares de cursos no portugueses legalmente equivalentes ao ensino secundrio portugus, as provas de ingresso podem ser substitudas por exames finais de disciplinas daqueles cursos, desde que sejam preenchidas determinadas condies, nos termos do disposto no artigo 20-A do Decreto-Lei n 296-A/98, de 25 de Setembro, na sua redaco actualizada pelo Decreto-Lei n 90/2008, de 30 de Maio. 3. Ter uma nota de candidatura igual ou superior mnima fixada, para o curso a que se pretende candidatar; 4. Satisfazer os pr-requisitos, caso sejam exigidos, para o curso a que se pretende candidatar.

Os doutorandos estrangeiros interessados em obter o grau de Doutor em co-tutela na Universidade de Lisboa, devem frequentar programas doutorais congneres reconhecidos como tal pela Universidade de Lisboa e pela Universidade parceira, sob a orientao de, pelo menos, um professor de cada Universidade. O grau de doutor em co-tutela conferido na Universidade de Lisboa, num ramo de conhecimento ou especialidade de doutoramento, mediante acordo prvio explcito entre os estabelecimentos de ensino superior participantes e o doutorando. 3.2.4. Mudana ou transferncia de curso

Os estudantes estrangeiros que tenham estado inscritos e matriculados num estabelecimento de ensino superior estrangeiro em curso definido como superior pela legislao do pas em causa, quer o tenham concludo, ou no, podem solicitar mudana ou transferncia de curso para a Universidade de Lisboa.
Sugere-se a consulta prvia do Regulamento dos Regimes de Mudana de Curso, Transferncia e Reingresso da UL disponvel em www.ul.pt/ regulamentos, bem como do edital de vagas e os critrios definidos para cada ano lectivo, a divulgar anualmente, na pgina de internet de cada unidade orgnica.

3.2.5. Reconhecimento acadmico

O reconhecimento de qualificaes estrangeiras de ensino superior encontra-se previsto no DecretoLei n 341/2007 de 12 de Outubro e no Decreto-Lei n 283/83, de 21 de Junho. As listas dos Pases/graus que podem beneficiar do regime previsto no Decreto-Lei n 341/2007, de 12 de Outubro, constam dasdeliberaes emanadas da Comisso de Reconhecimento de Graus Estrangeiros. O Decreto-Lei n 283/83, de 21 de Junho estabelece um sistema de equivalncia/reconhecimento com base numa reavaliao cientfica do trabalho realizado com vista obteno do grau estrangeiro. Este decreto-lei aplica-se sempre que o grau estrangeiro no conste do elenco de graus fixado por deliberaes genricas aprovadas pela Comisso de Reconhecimento de Graus Estrangeiros, em conformidade com o artigo 19 do Decreto-Lei n 341/2007, de 12 de Outubro. A deciso de conceder, ou no, a equivalncia/ reconhecimento nos termos do Decreto-Lei n 283/83, de 21 de Junho, da exclusiva competncia da instituio de ensino superior portuguesa na qual o interessado estrangeiro pretende obter esse reconhecimento. O pedido de equivalncia ao grau de Licenciado deve ser dirigido ao Presidente do Conselho Cientfico da Faculdade/Instituto da UL que leccione cursos na mesma rea ou rea afim.
O pedido de equivalncia ao grau de Mestre e de Doutor deve ser dirigido ao Reitor da Universidade de Lisboa. A equivalncia/reconhecimento pode ser solicitada pelo interessado ou por um procurador legalmente designado para o efeito. 3.5. Cursos livres

Com o objectivo de flexibilizar a oferta formativa, algumas Faculdades/Institutos da Universidade de Lisboa (UL) organizam cursos livres. Este tipo de formao tem curta durao e visa promover a aquisio de conhecimentos em diversas reas cientficas e profissionais. A frequncia destes cursos tem, na generalidade, custos associados, mas no necessrio que os participantes estejam inscritos na Universidade de Lisboa. As iniciativas neste mbito podem ser consultadas nos stios das Faculdades/Institutos da UL disponveis em 5.11.

Durante o Vero, a vida acadmica e cultural da Universidade de Lisboa preenche-se sobretudo com aces de formao e workshops. A oferta inclui habitualmente cursos de Fotografia, Lnguas, Ilustrao, Direito, Fsica, Joalharia, entre outros. Organizados pelas vrias Faculdades/Institutos da Universidade de Lisboa, estas iniciativas esto abertas a todas as pessoas. Salienta-se que a maioria destes cursos tem custos associados, devendo os interessados solicitar informaes organizao de cada curso.

3.7. Calendrio Escolar

Incio do ano lectivo: Setembro Fim do ano lectivo (incluindo avaliaes): Julho 1 Semestre: Incio: Setembro > Fim: Fevereiro 2 Semestre: Incio: Fevereiro > Fim: Julho poca especial para concluso do curso at final de Setembro Frias: Natal: final de Dezembro > Pscoa: Abril a) Cada Unidade Orgnica, de acordo com especificidades prprias da respectiva programao, pode estabelecer o incio e o final do ano lectivo no perodo compreendido entre os meses indicados. b) Cada Unidade Orgnica, de acordo com especificidades prprias da respectiva programao, pode estabelecer datas diferentes para o final do 1 semestre e para o incio do 2 semestre, desde que sejam respeitados os princpios organizadores do calendrio escolar aprovados pela Deliberao n 8/2008 pela Comisso Cientfica do Senado. Cada Unidade Orgnica pode facultativamente realizar um 3 perodo com datas entre Maio e Julho. Porm, no poder, em caso algum, vir a representar um agravamento de necessidades de recrutamento de docentes. As datas para a realizao de avaliaes e da respectiva poca especial (exames) so definidas por cada Unidade Orgnica.
Os estudantes estrangeiros que frequentam a Universidade de Lisboa no mbito do Programa Erasmus esto isentos do pagamento de propinas dado que o mesmo efectuado nas respectivas universidades de origem. Na Universidade de Lisboa, o pagamento de propinas de estudantes estrangeiros ao abrigo de acordos de cooperao depende do contedo do acordo e da deciso do Director de Faculdade/Instituto da Universidade de Lisboa que frequentam. Os estudantes estrangeiros que frequentam a Universidade de Lisboa em regime livre pagam propinas no montante correspondente aos cursos e unidades curriculares em que esto inscritos.

Cursos de Licenciatura (1 Ciclo), Mestrado Integrado (1 e 2 Ciclo) e Mestrados para o exerccio de uma actividade profissional: 999 Restantes cursos de Mestrado (2 Ciclo): 1200 Programas de Doutoramento (3 Ciclo): 2750 (i) Nos cursos de Mestrado da rea estratgica de Cincias da Sade (Medicina, Farmcia e Medicina Dentria) ficam os respectivos Directores autorizados a fixar um valor de propinas entre 1200 e 5000 por ano. (ii) Nos cursos de Mestrado e Doutoramento das Faculdades e Institutos, em casos devidamente justificados, designadamente quando sejam realizados em colaborao com outras entidades e instituies, nacionais ou estrangeiras, ficam os respectivos Directores autorizados a fixar um valor de propinas entre 1200 e 5000 por ano. (iii) Nos cursos ps-graduados de actualizao e nos cursos ps-graduados de especializao no conferentes de grau ficam os respectivos Directores autorizados a fixar o valor das propinas. (iv) Nos programas de Doutoramento ficam os respectivos Directores autorizados a fixar um valor de propinas entre 1200 e 2750 nos anos posteriores ao Curso de Formao Avanada (1 ano).

O que um subprograma do Programa de Aprendizagem ao Longo da Vida cujos principais objectivos so: Contribuir para o desenvolvimento de uma aprendizagem de qualidade ao longo da vida e das possibilidades por ela conferidas; Reforar a realizao pessoal, a coeso social e a cidadania europeia; Promover a criatividade, a competitividade e a empregabilidade; Aumentar a participao na aprendizagem ao longo da vida; Promover a aprendizagem e a diversidade lingusticas. O programa Erasmus abrange vrias aces, sendo a maioria direccionadas a estudantes, nomeadamente: Mobilidade para a realizao de um perodo de Estudos; Mobilidade para a realizao de um perodo de Estgio Profissional; Frequncia de cursos intensivos de lnguas Erasmus (EILC). Somente os estudantes inscritos em universidades sediadas em pases membros da Unio Europeia (no inclui os pases que so actualmente candidatos) e tambm na Turquia, Noruega, Islndia, Liechtenstein, Crocia e Macednia podem candidatar-se ao programa Erasmus.

Candidaturas So apresentadas junto da Universidade de origem em que os estudantes estrangeiros esto inscritos. Os prazos e condies so estabelecidos pela mesma. O que os estudantes estrangeiros devem fazer: 1. Verificar se a Universidade de origem tem acordo bilateral vlido para o ano lectivo pretendido na rea de estudo pretendida com a Faculdade/Instituto da UL onde tencionam realizar a mobilidade Erasmus. 2. Verificar se existe na UL um curso congnere ao que frequentam no pas de origem. 3. Contactar o Gabinete Erasmus da Universidade de origem para conhecer os procedimentos administrativos necessrios para a candidatura mobilidade Erasmus. 4. Preencher a documentao exigida pela Faculdade da Universidade de origem. A Universidade de origem estabelece contacto com a Faculdade/Instituto da UL para informar quais os estudantes seleccionados para realizar a mobilidade Erasmus. 5. Contactar a Faculdade/Instituto da UL a fim de conhecer os prazos e procedimentos da candidatura, solicitar o plano de estudos para preparar o Learning Agreement; 6. Logo aps a respectiva seleco para a mobilidade, os estudantes interessados em ficar alojados numa das residncias dos Servios de Aco Social da UL devem solicitar, por correio electrnico, a reserva de uma vaga junto do Gabinete Erasmus da Faculdade/ Instituto da UL. O alojamento numa das residncias dos Servios de Aco Social da UL para estudantes Erasmus atribudo de acordo com o nmero de vagas estabelecido para cada Faculdade/Instituto da UL. 4.1.2. Erasmus para a realizao de um perodo de Estudos

Objectivos Proporcionar a frequncia de um perodo de estudos, com pleno reconhecimento acadmico, na Universidade de Lisboa. Pr-Requisito A Universidade de origem dos estudantes estrangeiros deve possuir a Carta Universitria Erasmus. Benefcios Vivenciar a experincia de estudar num contexto acadmico internacional; Aperfeioar a fala e escrita de uma lngua estrangeira; Enriquecimento cultural; Alargamento dos horizontes pessoais. Destinatrios Estudantes de Licenciatura e de Mestrado Integrado j com o 1 ano curricular concludo. Estudantes de Mestrado e Doutoramento j com o 1 semestre concludo. Durao da mobilidade Mnimo: trs meses Mximo: doze meses As mobilidades devem realizar-se durante o perodo vigente do ano lectivo, ou seja, no mximo

Aps a chegada a Portugal, os estudantes estrangeiros devem dirigir-se directamente ao Gabinete Erasmus da Faculdade/Instituto da UL na qual vo realizar a mobilidade para efectuar a sua inscrio e ter acesso a informao associada mobilidade Erasmus (carto de estudante, horrios das aulas, kit de boas-vindas, acesso s Bibliotecas e Refeitrios da UL). Em Portugal o ms de Agosto tradicionalmente um perodo de frias. Por esta razo, alguns Gabinetes Erasmus de Faculdades/Institutos da UL podero estar encerrados neste ms. Sugere-se que os estudantes Erasmus confirmem previamente o perodo de funcionamento destes Servios. 7. Os estudantes estrangeiros realizam a mobilidade Erasmus na UL. No final da mobilidade Erasmus, a Faculdade/Instituto da UL emite um documento que comprove a realizao de unidades curriculares estabelecidas no Learning Agreement. Caso a emisso deste documento no coincida com a data de regresso do estudante ao pas de origem, ser enviado directamente para a Universidade de origem. 8. Antes de regressar ao pas de origem os estudantes devem solicitar uma declarao de estadia ao Gabinete Erasmus da Faculdade/ Instituto da UL onde realizaram a mobilidade; 9. Aps a concluso da mobilidade Erasmus, os estudantes estrangeiros regressam ao pas de origem, tendo de entregar no Gabinete Erasmus da Faculdade da Universidade de origem o documento que comprova a realizao de unidades curriculares estabelecidas no Learning Agreement e a declarao de estadia.
O apoio financeiro, concedido pela Unio Europeia, atribudo atravs da Universidade de origem e visa apoiar as despesas relativas viagem, alojamento e alimentao. Apenas os candidatos seleccionados para a mobilidade Erasmus so potencialmente elegveis atribuio de bolsa. Informaes adicionais devem ser solicitadas directamente Universidade de origem em que os estudantes estrangeiros esto inscritos.
Reconhecimento acadmico
Todas as unidades curriculares que os estudantes estrangeiros frequentam na UL devem ser integralmente reconhecidas pela Universidade de origem desde que correspondam ao que foi previamente definido e aprovado no Learning Agreement. Qualquer alterao ao Learning Agreement inicialmente aprovado deve ser comunicada e aprovada pela Universidade de origem. Caso os estudantes estrangeiros se inscrevam em unidades extracurriculares, os crditos das mesmas podero no ser reconhecidos pela Universidade de origem.
4.1.3. Erasmus para a realizao de um estgio profissional - Consrcio UL-ETN

Objectivos Facultar a realizao de um estgio em empresas, centros de formao e/ou de investigao sedeados em um pas Europeu que participe no Programa Erasmus. Pr-Requisito A Universidade de origem dos estudantes estrangeiros deve possuir a Carta Universitria Erasmus. Na UL a Mobilidade Erasmus para a realizao de um Estgio Profissional realiza-se no mbito do Consortium UL Erasmus Training Network (UL-ETN) composto por mais de 20 empresas portuguesas e cerca de oito instituies estrangeiras associadas.

Bolsas
Objectivos Promover o desenvolvimento de competncias ligadas ao mercado de trabalho e investigao; Fomentar a formao profissional ao longo da vida; Facilitar o desenvolvimento de aptides e competncias tcnicas e comportamentais; Promover a insero profissional; Potenciar futuras oportunidades de emprego. Aumentar a mobilidade de estudantes; Contribuir para a mobilidade e transnacionalidade de conhecimentos e tcnicas profissionais; Incentivar a partilha e contacto com outras realidades socioculturais, quer ao nvel do desenvolvimento pessoal, quer ao nvel profissional; Contribuir para a ligao da Universidade ao meio empresarial. Como funciona O Consrcio UL-ETN permite: Integrar estudantes da UL em empresas*, ou filiais, sediadas em pases da Unio Europeia para a realizao de estgio curricular ou extracurricular; Integrar estudantes de universidades europeias que participam no programa Erasmus em empresas* portuguesas para a realizao de estgio curricular ou extracurricular. * Qualquer empresa do sector pblico ou privado que exera uma actividade econmica, independentemente da dimenso, do estatuto jurdico ou do sector econmico em que opere, incluindo a economia social. Os estudantes em mobilidade UL-ETN tm um orientador de estgio na empresa onde realizam o estgio e um tutor na universidade de origem. O orientador e tutor so os pontos de contacto que fazem a ligao entre a empresa e a universidade no mbito do estgio. Ambos devem promover a integrao, adaptao e bom desempenho dos estudantes, concedendo-lhes a superviso e apoio cientfico pedaggico necessrios. No final do estgio os estudantes so avaliados.
A avaliao dos estgios curriculares devidamente creditada no plano curricular do curso em que os estudantes esto inscritos. Destinatrios Estudantes da Universidade de Lisboa de todos os ciclos de estudo (Licenciatura, Mestrado e Doutoramento). Estudantes inscritos em universidades europeias que participam no programa Erasmus de todos os ciclos de estudo (Licenciatura, Mestrado e Doutoramento). Candidaturas Para conhecer os procedimentos de candidatura, os estudantes estrangeiros interessados em fazer uma mobilidade Erasmus para a realizao de um estgio profissional ao abrigo do Consrcio UL-ETN devem contactar: o Ncleo de Relaes Internacionais da Diviso de Relaes Externas da Reitoria se pretenderem realizar estgio numa empresa portuguesa que seja membro do Consrcio UL-ETN; o Gabinete Erasmus de uma das Faculdades/ Institutos da UL (consoante a rea) se pretenderem estagiar na UL. 4.2. Intercmbios ao abrigo de Protocolos

Os alunos que frequentam um curso de Licenciatura no estrangeiro e querem fazer um intercmbio na Universidade de Lisboa (UL) ao abrigo de um protocolo ou convnio devem: 1. Verificar se arespectiva Universidade de origem tem um acordo de cooperao com a UL ou uma das suas Faculdades/Institutos. 2. J ter concludo o 1 ano do curso. 3. A candidatura deve ser enviada UL pela Universidade de origem at, pelo menos, trs meses antes do incio do semestre em que pretende iniciar o intercmbio. 3.1. O processo de candidatura deve incluir: c pia do documento de identificao do estudante; c arta de motivao; histrico escolar; carta de aprovao da Universidade de origem realizao do intercmbio; f icha de candidatura para intercmbio (disponvel em www.internacional.ul.pt); listagem das unidades curriculares que pretende realizar, com aprovao da Universidade de origem e indicao exacta dos meses / ano lectivo em que pretende realizar o intercmbio; contacto do servio responsvel pelo intercmbio na Universidade de origem. o s alunos de Belas-Artes devem tambm entregar um portfoliosucinto dos trabalhos realizados. As Faculdades de Cincias, Farmcia, Medicina, Medicina Dentria e Psicologia da UL podem receber estudantes estrangeiros para a realizao de estgios curriculares nas respectivas reas de estudo. Os interessados devem contactar o Gabinete Erasmus da Faculdade da UL onde pretendem realizar o estgio. Dependendo da disponibilidade, outras unidades orgnicas ou servios da UL, podero eventualmente tambm receber estagirios Erasmus.
4.1.4. Cursos intensivos de lnguas Erasmus

Os cursos intensivos de lnguas Erasmus (Erasmus Intensive Language Courses - EILC) so cursos de preparao lingustica sobre a lngua e cultura do pas de acolhimento onde os estudantes Erasmus vo realizar a sua mobilidade (estudos e estgios). Estes cursos apenas so leccionados nos pases cuja respectiva lngua oficial integra o grupo das menos utilizadas e ensinadas na Unio Europeia. A Universidade de Lisboa no lecciona cursos EILC, mas disponibiliza cursos de Portugus para os estudantes Erasmus atravs do Departamento de Lngua e Cultura Portuguesa da Faculdade de Letras (informao disponvel em 3.4).

4.4. Erasmus Mundus

O que Programa de cooperao e mobilidade que visa reforar a qualidade do ensino superior europeu e promover a Unio Europeia como um centro de excelncia de nvel mundial no domnio da aprendizagem. Este programa tem trs reas de aco: Aco 1 Programas conjuntos de Mestrado e Doutoramento organizados por um consrcio de universidades europeias; Aco 2 Parcerias Erasmus Mundus, ou seja, projectos de intercmbio e mobilidade entre instituies de Ensino Superior europeias e de pases terceiros; Aco 3 Projectos de promoo do Ensino Superior europeu.

No existe um nmero de vagas atribudo por Faculdade/Instituto aos alunos que a frequentam ao abrigo de convnios, sendo cada caso analisado individualmente pelos coordenadores de curso de cada Faculdade/Instituto da UL. A deciso sobre a aceitao de candidaturas dos alunos de intercmbio ao abrigo de protocolos tomada pela Faculdade/Instituto da UL. Os estudantes cuja Universidade de origem no tem acordo de cooperao com a UL podem contactar a Diviso de Relaes Externas da Reitoria da UL (sri@reitoria.ul.pt) a fim de ser analisada a possibilidade de intercmbio.

4.3. Mobilidade em regime livre

Os estudantes estrangeiros inscritos em instituies de ensino superior que estejam interessados em realizar um perodo de mobilidade na UL sem o enquadramento de um programa especfico podem faz-lo como alunos em regime livre, devendo para isso contactar directamente o Gabinete de Relaes Internacionais da Faculdade/Instituto da UL na qual pretendem realizar a mobilidade (contactos disponveis em 5.11.). Salienta-se que esta modalidade de frequncia da UL no est isenta do pagamento de taxa de inscrio e de propinas, sendo os valores fixados por cada Faculdade/Instituto da UL. 4.4.1. Mestrado em Direito European Legal Practice

No mbito da Aco 1 do programa Erasmus Mundus existe na Universidade de Lisboa o curso de Mestrado em Direito - European Legal Practice. Esta formao organizada por um consrcio de Universidades composto pela Universidade de Lisboa (Portugal), Universidade de Hannover (Alemanha), Universidade de Rouen (Frana) e Universidade de Le Havre (Frana). A coordenao do consrcio assegurada pela Universidade de Hannover. Destinatrios Licenciados em Direito provenientes de qualquer pas do mundo. Pr-Requisitos Excelente domnio de, pelo menos, duas das trs lnguas das universidades parceiras (Alemo, Francs, Portugus). Bom conhecimento da lngua inglesa. Nmero de crditos 120 ECTS

Propinas As propinas so fixadas pelas universidades que compem o consrcio. Na Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Lisboa o valor fixado de 600 por semestre, no incluindo matrculas ou outros encargos necessrios. Estrutura O programa do curso de natureza generalista e no de especializao. A estrutura curricular determinada pelo consrcio e realizado em, pelo menos, duas das Universidades participantes. Os estudantes frequentam disciplinas obrigatrias e facultativas, em cada uma das Universidades. 1 e 2 Semestres: so realizados na Universidade a que o estudante se candidatou (a primeira Universidade); 3 Semestre: realizado em outra universidade do consrcio, noutro pas; 4 Semestre: consiste na realizao e discusso de uma tese na primeira Universidade. Candidaturas At 30 de Junho de cada ano. Documentao necessria (os certificados originais devem ser fornecidos oportunamente): Cpia do certificado de fim da Licenciatura do pas de origem (com traduo em Portugus ou Ingls); Carta de recomendao do Director ou de dois professores da Faculdade de origem; Certificado das habilitaes lingusticas exigidas emitido pelas respectivas Faculdades das Universidades de origem. Duas das seguintes lnguas so exigidas: Portugus Alemo Francs Curriculum vitae detalhado mximo duas pginas com indicao de: reas de estudo anteriores, interesses acadmicos para a estadia

Critrios de seleco Os critrios so definidos em conjunto e aplicados individualmente pelas universidades do consrcio. 4.4.2. Projecto A Move on Education

A Universidade de Lisboa (UL) participa no Projecto Erasmus Mundus A Move on Education (MoE), um programa de mobilidade acadmica psgraduada que funciona entre sete Universidades Argentinas e seis Universidades Europeias. Esta iniciativa, financiada pela Unio Europeia, inserese no mbito da Aco 2 do programa Erasmus Mundus atravs da qual possvel realizar projectos de intercmbio e mobilidade entre instituies de ensino superior europeias e pases terceiros. O objectivo do MoE contribuir para a qualificao de profissionais na rea da educao, fortalecendo a aco acadmica a nvel regional e internacional.

Bolsa de estudo Erasmus Mundus

Pr-requisito Possuir um percurso acadmico relevante com excelentes resultados de estudo. Cobertura Despesas de deslocao e instalao, custos de participao no programa conjunto (propinas, seguro, etc.) e um subsdio mensal. As propinas so deduzidas do valor da bolsa no incio do ano lectivo. Valor Entre 10.000 e 24.000 por ano, dependendo se o estudante proveniente de um pas europeu ou pas terceiro. 5.1. Servios de Aco Social
Os Servios de Aco Social da Universidade de Lisboa (SASUL) tm por misso contribuir para a frequncia bem sucedida de todos os estudantes da Universidade de Lisboa, garantindo que nenhum seja excludo da instituio por incapacidade financeira. De entre as actividades desenvolvidas por estes Servios destacam-se: Facultar apoios de mbito educativo, cultural e desportivo; Atribuio e gesto de apoios econmicos (exemplos: bolsas de estudo, alojamento) a estudantes carenciados e/ou que se encontrem deslocados; Disponibilizao de estruturas de apoio social ao nvel de alojamento, alimentao e servios de sade; Promover a realizao de actividades culturais e de ocupao de tempos livres para os estudantes; Cooperar com o Ministrio dos Negcios Estrangeiros no apoio aos estudantes oriundos dos pases de expresso portuguesa que frequentam a Universidade de Lisboa, bem como prestar
apoio aos estudantes aptridas ou aos que beneficiam do estatuto de refugiado poltico.
5.1.1. Bolsas
Os SASUL atribuem bolsas de estudo e/ou alojamento em residncias universitrias a estudantes que esto, ou venham a estar, matriculados em qualquer uma das Faculdades/Institutos da Universidade de Lisboa e que: Sejam economicamente carenciados e/ou se encontrem deslocados do seu agregado familiar durante o ano lectivo; Sejam de nacionalidade portuguesa; Sejam dos estados membros da Unio Europeia com direito de residncia permanente em Portugal e seus familiares; Sejam nacionais de pases terceiros: Titulares de autorizao de residncia permanente (Art 80 da Lei 23/2007 de 4 de Julho). Beneficirios de estatuto de residente de longa durao (Art 125 da Lei 23/2007 de 4 de Julho); Sejam provenientes de estados com os quais hajam sido celebrados acordos de cooperao prevendo a aplicao de tais benefcios;

Sejam provenientes de estados cuja Lei, em igualdade de circunstncia, conceda igual tratamento aos estudantes Portugueses; Sejam aptridas ou beneficiem do estatuto de refugiados polticos; No sejam titulares de Licenciatura ou Mestrado (ver art 4-1.b do Despacho 12780-B/2011). Os estudantes provenientes de pases no integrados na Unio Europeia, que precisem de declarao de alojamento para fins de obteno de visto, devem solicit-la directamente entidade em que vo ficar alojados. Os estudantes estrangeiros que foram notificados de que tm direito a uma vaga de alojamento numa das residncias dos SASUL devem chegar a Lisboa num dia til (2 a 6 feira) e dirigir-se ao Gabinete de Apoio ao Aluno dos SASUL at s 14h30 para receber a chave do quarto. Este Gabinete localiza-se na Av. Professor Gama Pinto, Edifcio do Refeitrio I, 1649-003 Lisboa; Tel.: +351 217 803 980; correio electrnico: apoio.aluno@sas.ul.pt. Caso a chegada a Lisboa seja num Sbado, Domingo ou Feriado, estes estudantes devem reservar antecipadamente um alojamento alternativo. 5.1.2. Alojamento
A Universidade de Lisboa no dispe de um servio responsvel pelo alojamento dos seus estudantes estrangeiros. Estes estudantes devem procurar autonomamente ofertas de alojamento junto de outras entidades. Por vezes os Gabinetes de Relaes Internacionais da UL dispem de alguns contactos de ofertas de alojamento. Aos estudantes estrangeiros que optem por arrendar um quarto ou apartamento aps a chegada a Lisboa, sugere-se que reservem antecipadamente um quarto para as primeiras noites numa Pousada da Juventude (http://microsites.juventude.gov.pt/ Portal/pt/default.htm). Os SASUL tm 13 residncias universitrias com cerca de 364 quartos para estudantes da

125 o valor mensal do alojamento numa das residncias dos SASUL fixado para o ano lectivo 2011/2012. Este valor pode ser actualizado anualmente. Nas residncias dos SASUL os quartos so duplos ou triplos e incluem roupa de cama e toalhas de banho. A cozinha disponibiliza fogo e frigorfico, sendo necessrio os estudantes utilizarem os seus prprios utenslios de cozinha. Nas residncias mistas existe separao dos quartos de rapazes dos de raparigas, existindo separao por apartamentos. Ofertas de alojamento (fora da UL) em Lisboa disponveis em www.internacional.ul.pt

Os SASUL tm cinco refeitrios que podem ser frequentados pela comunidade acadmica. Os estudantes estrangeiros que frequentam a Universidade de Lisboa tm acesso a estes refeitrios, mediante apresentao do respectivo carto de estudante emitido pela Faculdade/Instituto da UL que frequentam. 2,40* o preo de uma refeio completa para os estudantes da Universidade de Lisboa em cada um dos refeitrios dos SASUL no ano lectivo 2011/2012.

O Centro de Sade Escolar da Universidade de Lisboa (UL) desenvolve aces de preveno, diagnstico, esclarecimento e formao na rea da Sade junto dos estudantes da UL. Os estudantes estrangeiros que frequentam a UL tambm tm acesso a este Centro mediante a apresentao do carto de estudante emitido pela respectiva Faculdade/Instituto da UL. Servios* disponibilizados: Enfermagem, Clnica Geral, Ginecologia, Psicologia e Psiquiatria. *Para efeitos de exames complementares de diagnstico, indispensvel que os estudantes estrangeiros da UL apresentem um carto associado ao sistema de segurana social do pas de origem (exemplo: Carto Europeu de Seguro de Doena). 5.5. Bibliotecas
A Universidade de Lisboa integra mais de 15 bibliotecas, disponibilizando tambm online uma das maiores bases de dados bibliogrficas existentes em Portugal - o Sistema Integrado das Bibliotecas da Universidade de Lisboa (SIBUL). Atravs da partilha de recursos existentes, o SIBUL gere e disponibiliza o catlogo das bibliotecas das vrias unidades orgnicas da instituio. Mesmo enquanto catlogo colectivo, o SIBUL respeita as especificidades das bibliotecas de cada unidade orgnica e publica mais de 370 000 documentos (publicaes peridicas, monografias, documentos electrnicos, documentos cartogrficos, entre outros). 5.2. Gabinetes de Relaes Internacionais

Os Gabinetes de Relaes Internacionais existentes nas Faculdades/Institutos da Universidade de Lisboa so a principal estrutura de apoio aos estudantes estrangeiros. O trabalho destes Servios inclui a promoo da internacionalizao da instituio, o relacionamento com outros servios congneres de universidades estrangeiras, o esclarecimento dos estudantes estrangeiros que frequentam a Universidade ao abrigo de programas de mobilidade ou intercmbio, entre outras actividades(contactos disponveis em 5.11.).
5.6. Ncleo de Desporto, Cultura e Bem-Estar

Atravs do Ncleo de Desporto, Cultura e BemEstar, a Universidade de Lisboa disponibiliza a toda a comunidade acadmica um variado conjunto de bens e servios destinado a preencher os tempos livres de uma forma activa e saudvel. Para alm da prtica de diversas modalidades desportivas, promovem-se campeonatos universitrios, torneios internos, actividades ao ar livre e vrios tipos de cursos de iniciao e aperfeioamento. De entre as vrias actividades promovidas por este Ncleo, destacam-se a Academia ULness que integra uma Sala de Fitness para as aulas de Aerbica, Hip-Hop, Yoga, Danas Orientais, Capoeira, entre outras; e uma Sala de Exerccio com mais de 40 equipamentos diferentes que ajudam a desenvolver a capacidade aerbica e muscular. A lista de modalidades que se realizam fora do campus da UL inclui canoagem, caminhadas, vela, surf, bodyboard, patins em linha e mergulho.
5.3. Servios Acadmicos

Os Servios Acadmicos so responsveis por todas as matrias de mbito acadmico, podendo esclarecer os estudantes estrangeiros sobre assuntos relacionados com acesso Universidade de Lisboa, reconhecimento acadmico, frequncia de unidades curriculares em regime livre, transferncia de curso, entre outros assuntos (contactos disponveis em 5.11.).
5.4. Gabinetes de Apoio ao Aluno

A Universidade de Lisboa criou em cada Faculdade uma unidade especfica que procura proporcionar o acolhimento e informao dos alunos. Neste sentido, os gabinetes de apoio ao aluno dispem de atendimento personalizado, pretendendo: fomentar a participao dos alunos na vida acadmica; conceder, em caso de necessidade, apoio

5.7. Associaes de Estudantes

A estrutura representativa dos estudantes da Universidade de Lisboa composta pela Associao Acadmica da Universidade de Lisboa que coordena o trabalho das Associaes de Estudantes das Faculdades/Institutos. O associativismo estudantil da UL tem um papel activo na dinamizao da vida acadmica, na representao e interveno crtica dos estudantes da Universidade, assim como na realizao de aces e projectos de voluntariado, workshops, teatro, cursos livres, tunas acadmicas, entre outras iniciativas (contactos disponveis em 5.11.).
5.8. Servios Comunidade

A Universidade de Lisboa privilegia a cidadania responsvel, o apoio comunidade estudantil e sociedade, em geral, disponibilizando um variado conjunto de servios tais como: orientao e aconselhamento de carreira, psicologia clnica e social, medicina dentria, higiene oral, laboratrio de anlises clnicas, terapia da fala, entre outros.

Alguns tipos de apoios disponveis para estudantes com NEE: Acesso gratuito Biblioteca Aberta do Ensino Superior (BAES) a partir da utilizao de postos de trabalho com equipamento e software especficos adquiridos disponveis no Servio de Apoio ao Aluno da Faculdade de Letras, no Gabinete de Apoio Psicopedaggico da Faculdade de Cincias e na Biblioteca da Reitoria. A BAES rene um acervo de mais de 3000 ttulos em Braille, udio e texto integral. Para alm disso, permite produzir e partilhar informao. O acesso BAES est disponvel a partir do Sistema Integrado das Bibliotecas da Universidade de Lisboa disponvel em http://metalib.sibul. ul.pt; Acesso fsico ao campus com o menor nmero possvel de barreiras arquitectnicas; Possibilidade de disponibilizao de materiais de estudo e formas de avaliao adaptados, mas de forma equitativa aos restantes colegas de turma; Possibilidade de receber acompanhamento voluntrio na realizao de tarefas especficas.

1.1. Introduction
The University of Lisbon (UL) is a public institution of reference both in Portugal as well as internationally, whose priority areas include the central role of research, restructuring and the transverse nature of study plans, enhancing partnerships, and acknowledging the value of the institution. Its actual roots take us back to the remote origins of the Portuguese University in the Middle Ages. In 1911, the University of Lisbon was refunded, having broadened its education and research offer. With 100 years of History, Education, Culture, Heritage, Science and Innovation, the University of Lisbon provides unique learning experiences. This University wants to enlarge the horizons and life choices of its students and brand their future commitment. Foreign students coming from countries outside the EU can only start their studies at the University of Lisbon if they hold a valid study visa. This document can be obtained at the Portuguese

These students should request a Statement proving their acceptance of the study period from the International Relations Office of the UL Institute/ Department where they are going to study. The Statement shall then be forwarded to the University of origin.

The study visa request must be made at least one month before the planned date of arrival in Lisbon. The study visa has a validity period equal to that of the student's planned study period. Students coming from EU countries should obtain the European Health Insurance Card in their country of origin. This Card provides access and health care services at any public health department just as for a Portuguese citizen. The Portuguese higher education system includes university education and polytechnic education. University-level education is taught at public and private universities, as well as at cooperative universities and at universities under concordat agreements. Polytechnic education is available at non-university higher education institutions, either public, private or cooperatives. Regardless of the type of education being taught, all these institutions are under the Ministry of Education and Science.
3.2. Access to the UL 3.2.1. Initial training - Graduate Degrees and Integrated Master Courses
Foreign students may apply to 1st cycle courses at the University of Lisbon, for which they must comply with the exact same conditions as those required for Portuguese students. In other words, they must: 1. Hold a Certificate confirming the approval in a secondar y education course or legally equivalent foreign educ ation; Holders of foreign certificates should request their equivalence to 12 th grade at a secondary educational institution in Portugal with pedagogic autonomy. 2. Having completed the access exams required for the course he/she is applying to, with final mark equal to or greater than the minimum mark; For students holding a Certificate confirming
the approval in a non-Portuguese legally equivalent secondary education course, the admission exams may be replaced by final exams on specific subjects of those courses, provided certain conditions are met, pursuant to the provisions under article 20-A of DecreeLaw no. 296-A/98, dated September 25th, and according to its updated version by Decree-Law no. 90/2008, dated May 30 th. 3. Having an application mark equal to or greater than the minimum mark defined for the course he/she intends to apply; 4. Meet the prerequisites, if required, for the course they intend to apply for.

3.2.2. Post-graduate courses

Master's Degree The following candidates can apply for Master's Degree courses: Those holding a university degree or legal equivalent; Those holding a foreign higher academic degree awarded after having completed a 1st cycle of studies organised according to the principles of the Bologna process at a country that adhered to such process; Those holding a foreign higher academic degree which is acknowledged as fulfilling the goals of a degree by the Scientific Board of the University or Institute, or by the Scientific Committee of the course, in the case of a transverse type of education to the University of Lisbon. Those holding an academic, scientific or professional curriculum which is acknowledged as certifying the ability to fulfil this cycle of studies by the relevant scientific body of the higher education school where they intend to be accepted. PhD Courses The following candidates can apply for PhD courses: Those holding a Master's degree or legal equivalent; Exceptionally, those holding a university degree or legal equivalent, holding a particularly relevant academic or scientific curriculum which is acknowledged as certifying the ability to fulfil this cycle of studies by the relevant scientific body
3.2.3. PhD in co-tutelle

Foreign PhD students interested in obtaining their PhD degree in co-tutelle at the University of Lisbon should attend similar PHd programs recognised as such by the University of Lisbon and by the partner University, under the supervision of at least one professor from each University. The PhD degree in co-tutelle is awarded at the University of Lisbon, in a field of knowledge or PhD speciality under explicit prior agreement between the participating higher education institutions and the PhD student. 3.2.4. Changing Courses

Foreign students from higher education schools abroad attending or enrolled in a higher education course according to the law of the country in question, they can change to the University of Lisbon should they wish to do so whether or not they concluded their course. It is suggested that they first consult the Regulation for Changing Courses and Re-entering the UL available at www.ul.pt/regulamentos, , as well as the notice on the number of vacancies and the criteria defined for each school year, disseminated every year on the web page of each organic unit.

3.2.5. Academic recognition

Recognition of foreign higher education qualifications is covered by Decree-Law no. 341/2007, dated October 12th, and by Decree-Law no. 283/83, dated June 21st. The lists of countries/degrees that can benefit from the regimen defined by Decree-Law no. 341/2007, dated October 12 th, are stated under the resolutions from the Committee for the Recognition of Foreign Degrees. Decree-Law no. 283/83, dated June 21st, establishes an equivalence/recognition system based on a scientific reassessment of the developed work, aimed at achieving a foreign degree. This decree-law applies whenever the foreign degree is not listed in the degrees established by general resolutions approved by the Committee for the Recognition of Foreign Degrees, in compliance with article 19 of Decree-Law no. 341/2007, dated October 12 th. The decision of whether or not to award the equivalence/recognition pursuant to DecreeLaw no. 283/83, dated June 21st, is the exclusive responsibility of the Portuguese Higher Education institution where the interested foreigner wants to obtain such recognition. The request for equivalence to graduate degree must be addressed to the Chairman of the Scientific Board of the Faculty/Institute of the UL offering courses in the area in question or in a similar area. The request for equivalence to Master's or PhD degrees must be addressed to the Rector of the University of Lisbon. The equivalence/recognition can be requested by the interested party or by a legal proxy appointed for such purpose. As a higher education institution at university level, the University of Lisbon awards academic Graduate degrees as well as Master's and PhD degrees. The educational offer includes more than 50 courses in the 1st cycle and more than 200 in post-graduate studies. 3.5. Free Courses

Some of the Faculties/Institutes of the University of Lisbon (UL) organize free courses as a means of making their educational offer more flexible. These courses have a short duration and aim at promoting the acquisition of knowledge in different scientific and professional areas. Attending these courses generally implies certain costs; however, in general participants need not be enrolled at the University of Lisbon. The available initiatives at this level may be consulted at the websites of the Faculties/Institutes of the UL (contacts under item 5.11.).

During the summer, the academic and cultural life of the University of Lisbon gets filled with training initiatives and workshops. The available offer generally includes Photography, Language, Illustration, Law, Physics, Jewellery courses, among others. Although organized by the different Faculties/Institutes of the University of Lisbon, these initiatives are open to the general public. Most of these courses generally imply certain costs, so

Amounts applied in 2011/2012

Graduate Degree Courses (1st Cycle) and Integrated Master's Courses (1st + 2nd cycle) for carrying out a professional activity: 999 Remaining Master's courses (2nd Cycle): 1200 PhD Programs (3rd Cycle): 2750 (i) For Master's courses in the strategic area of Health Sciences (Medicine, Pharmacy and Dental Medicine) the respective Directors are authorized to set tuition fees between 1,200 and 5,000 per year. (ii) For Master's and PhD Courses at the Faculties and Institutes, and according to due justifications, namely when held in collaboration with other entities and institutions, either national or foreign, the respective Directors are authorized to set tuition fees between 1,200 and 5,000 per year. (iii) In updating post-graduate courses and in specialized post-graduate courses not awarding degrees, the respective Directors are authorized to define the amount of the tuition fees. (iv) In PhD program courses the respective Directors are authorized to set the amount of the tuition fees between 1,200 and 2,750 for the years after the Advanced Training Course (1st year).
3.8. Tuition Fees

Foreign students attending the University of Lisbon as part of the Erasmus Program are exempt from the payment of tuition fees because they are paid at the respective universities of origin.

At the University of Lisbon, the payment of tuition fees by foreign students under co-operation agreements depends on the contents of such agreements and on the decision of the Director of the Faculty/Institute of the University of Lisbon that they attend. The tuition fees paid by foreign students attending the University of Lisbon under free regimen are in accordance with the courses and curricular units in which they are enrolled.

What is it? It is a sub-program of the Lifelong Learning Program whose main goals are: Contribute towards the development of quality learning throughout one's life and of the possibilities it provides; Reinforce personal fulfilment, social cohesion and European citizenship; Promote creativity, competitiveness and employability; Increased participation in lifelong learning; Promote learning experiences and language diversity. Applications Shall be submitted at the University of Origin where foreign students are enrolled. Deadlines and conditions are established by the University of Origin. What foreign students should do: 1. Check whether the University of Origin has a valid bilateral agreement for the intended academic year - in the intended area of study - with the Faculty/Institute of the UL where the student intends to hold the Erasmus Mobility. 2. Check whether the UL has a similar course to that which they attend in the country of origin. 3. Contact the Erasmus Office of the University of Origin in order to know the administrative procedures required for applying for Erasmus Mobility. 4. Fill out all the documents required by the University of Origin. The University of Origin establishes a contact with the Faculty/Institute of the UL to inform which students were selected for the Erasmus Mobility. 5. Contact the Faculty/Institute of the UL in order to find out the application deadlines and procedures, and request the study plan in order to prepare the Learning Agreement.. 6. Immediately after the respective selection for a mobility experience, students interested in staying at one of the student homes of the Social Services of the UL should send an e-mail requesting a reservation at the Erasmus Office of the Faculty/Institute of the UL. Accommodation at a student home of the Social Services of the UL for Erasmus students is provided according to the number of vacancies defined for each Faculty/Institute of the UL. 4.1.2. Erasmus for attending a study period

Goals Offer the opportunity to attend a study period at the University of Lisbon, with full academic recognition. Prerequisite The University of Origin of the foreign student must hold an Erasmus University Charter. Benefits Live the experience of studying in an international academic context. Improve the speaking and writing skills of a foreign language. Cultural enrichment. Broadening of personal horizons. Beneficiaries Students taking their Graduate and Integrated Master's degree that have already completed their 1st curricular year. Master's and PhD students that have already completed their 1st semester. Duration of the mobility experience Minimum: three months Maximum: twelve months Mobility experiences should be held during the approved period of the academic year, in other words, at most until the end of the month of September. It is not possible to extend Erasmus mobility to the next academic year.

Traditionally, in Portugal the month of August is the holiday period. For this reason some of the Erasmus Offices of certain Faculties/Institutes of the UL might be closed in this month. It is suggested that Erasmus students previously confirm the operating schedule of these Services. 7. Foreign students engage in their Erasmus mobility experience at the UL. By the end of the Erasmus mobility experience, the Faculty/Institute of the UL issues a document proving that the curricular units established in the Learning Agreement were completed. In case this document is not issued by the date of the student's return to the country of origin, it is sent directly to the University of Origin. 8. Before returning to the country of origin, the students should request their Erasmus Mobility attendance declaration at the Erasmus Office of the Faculty/Institute of the UL where they held the mobility experience. 9. After concluding their Erasmus mobility experience, foreign students return to the country of origin and have to deliver at the Erasmus Office of the Faculty of the University of Origin the document that proves their completion of the curricular units established in the Learning Agreement and the Erasmus Mobility attendance declaration.
All curricular units completed by foreign students at the UL should be fully recognised by the University of Origin, provided they correspond to what was previously defined and approved in the Learning Agreement.. Any changes to the Learning Agreement that was initially approved must be communicated and approved by the University of Origin. In case foreign students enrol in extracurricular units, the credits thereof might not be recognised by the University of Origin.
4.1.3. Erasmus for attending a Professional Traineeship - Consortium UL-ETN

Goals Offer the opportunity for a traineeship experience at a private company, training centre and/or research centre based in a European country taking part in the Erasmus Program. Prerequisite The University of Origin of the foreign student must hold an Erasmus University Charter. At the UL, Mobility for attending a Professional Traineeship is held as part of the Consortium UL Erasmus Training Network (UL-ETN) which includes more than 20 Portuguese companies and about eight associated foreign institutions. Goals Promote the development of skills connected to the labour market and to research. Foster lifelong vocational training. Facilitate the development of technical and behavioural skills and competences. Promote professional integration. Leverage future employment opportunities. Enhance student mobility. Contribute towards mobility and transnationality of knowledge and vocational skills. Encourage exchanges and contact with other social and cultural realities, for both personal and professional development.

Scholarships
Financial support offered by the European Union is granted through the University of Origin and aims at supporting expenses related to travelling, accommodation and diet. Only approved candidates for Erasmus mobility experiences are potentially eligible for scholarships. Academic recognition
Contribute towards connecting the University to the business environment. How it works The Consortium UL-ETN helps: To integrate UL students in EU-based companies*, or their branches, for curricular or extracurricular traineeship experiences. To integrate students from European Universities taking part in the Erasmus program in Portuguese companies* for curricular or extracurricular traineeship experiences. * Any company from the public or private sector carrying out an economic activity, regardless of its dimension, legal status or economic sector in which it operates, including social economy. Students under a UL-ETN mobility experience have a supervisor at the company where they hold their traineeship and a tutor at the University of Origin. The supervisor and the tutor are the contact points that make the connection between the company and the University as part of the apprenticeship. Both must promote the integration, adaptation and good performance of students, providing them with the necessary scientific and pedagogical supervision and support. All students are assessed by the end of the traineeship period. Assessment of curricular traineeship experiences is duly credited in the curricular plan of the course where students are enrolled. The Faculties of Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Dental Medicine and Psychology of the UL can host foreign students for curricular apprenticeships in the respective study areas. All interested students should contact the Erasmus Office of the Faculty of the UL where they intend to hold their traineeship experience. Depending on their availability, other organic units or Services of the UL may also eventually host Erasmus traineeship students.
4.1.4. Erasmus Intensive Language Course

The Erasmus Intensive Language Courses - EILC are language preparation courses on the language and culture of the host country where Erasmus students hold their mobility experience (studies and apprenticeships). These courses are only taught in the countries where the respective official language integrates the group of those less used and taught in the European Union. The University of Lisbon does not teach EILC courses, but makes Portuguese language courses available for Erasmus students through the Department of Portuguese Language and Culture at the Faculty of Letters (information available on 3.4). Students attending a graduate degree course abroad wanting to take part in an exchange at the University of Lisbon (UL) under a protocol or convention should: 1. Check whether the respective University of origin has a cooperation agreement with the UL or one of its Faculties/Institutes. 2. Have already completed the 1 st year of the course. 3. The application should be sent by the University of origin to the UL, by at least three months before the beginning of the semester in which the student intends to start the exchange. 3.1. The application process should include the following: p hotocopy of the student's identification document; motivation letter; school background; letter of approval by the University of origin for holding the exchange; application form for the exchange available at www.internacional.ul.pt.); list of the curricular units the student intends to engage in, approved by the University of origin and exact indication of the months / academic year in which the student intends to hold the exchange; contact of the service in charge of the exchange at the University of origin. There is no specific number of vacancies allocated by Faculty/Institute to students wanting to attend under conventions, so analyses are carried out on an individual base, case by case by the course coordinators at each Faculty/Institute of the UL. The decision on the acceptance of applications from students in exchange programs under protocols is taken by the Faculty/Institute of the UL. Students whose University of origin has no cooperation agreements with the UL may contact the Division of Foreign Relations of the Rectorate of the UL (dre@reitoria.ul.pt.) so that the possibility for an exchange can be analysed.

4.4.1. Master's in Law - European Legal Practice

As part of Action 1 of the Erasmus Mundus program, the University of Lisbon has a Master's course in Law - European Legal Practice This course is organized by a consortium of the University comprised by the University of Lisbon (Portugal), the University of Hanover (Germany), the University of Rouen (France) and the University of Le Havre (France). The coordination of the consortium is under the responsibility of the University of Hanover. Beneficiaries Holders of degrees in law from any country in the world. Prerequisites Excellent mastery of at least two of the three languages of the partner Universities (German, French, Portuguese). Good knowledge of English. Number of credits 120 ECTS Duration Two years Tuition fees The tuition fees are defined by the Universities that integrate the consortium. At the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon the amount set per semester is 600.00, not including registration and other required charges.
4.3. Mobility under free regimen

Foreign students enrolled in higher education institutions that are interested in engaging in a mobility period at the University of Lisbon without the framework of a specific program can do so under the free regimen. For that purpose, they should directly contact the External Relations Office of the Faculty/Institute of the UL where they intend to engage in the mobility experience (contacts available under item 5.11.). This modality is, however, not exempt from the payment of a registration fee plus the appropriate tuition fees, whose amounts are defined by each Faculty/ Institute of the UL. 4.4. Erasmus Mundus

What is it? It is a cooperation and mobility program that aims at reinforcing the quality of European higher education and promoting the European Union as a world-class centre of excellence in the field of education. This program has three areas of action: Action 1 Joint Master's and PhD programs organized by a consortium of European Universities;

Structure The course program has a general nature, it is not a specialization course. The curricular framework is determined by the consortium and is offered in at least two of the participating Universities. Students attend compulsory and optional subjects in each of the Universities. The 1st and 2nd Semesters are attended at the University where the student applied (the first University). The 3rd Semester is attended at another University belonging to the consortium, in another country. The 4th Semester consists of preparing and discussing a thesis at the first University. Applications By June 3rd each year. Required documents (the original certificates must be provided) : Photocopy of the graduate degree certificate from the country of origin (translated into Portuguese or English); Letter of Recommendation by the Director, or by two professors from the Faculty of origin; Certificate of language skills issued by the respective Faculties of the Universities of origin. At least two of the following languages are required: Portuguese German French Detailed Curriculum Vitae - maximum two pages - namely with the following aspects: previous areas of study, academic interests for the stay abroad, biographical information, among other details. 4.4.2. A Move on Education Project

The University of Lisbon (UL) takes part in the Erasmus Mundus A Move on Education (MoE) Project, a post-graduate academic mobility program that takes place between seven Universities from Argentina and six European Universities. This initiative, funded by the EU, is part of Action 2 of the Erasmus Mundus program through which exchange and mobility projects between European higher education institutions and those from thirdparty countries can be carried out. The purpose of MoE is to contribute towards the qualification of professionals in the field of education, by strengthening academic initiatives at regional and international levels.

Prerequisite Having gone through a relevant academic career with excellent learning results. Coverage Travelling and installation expenses, costs for taking part in the joint program (tuition fees, insurance, etc.) and a monthly subsidy. The tuition fees are deducted from the amount of the grant at the beginning of the academic year. Amount Between 10,000.00 and 24,000.00 per year, depending on whether the student comes from a European country or from a third-party country. 5.1. Social Services
The mission of the Social Services of the University of Lisbon (SASUL) is to contribute towards a successful performance of all students studying at the University of Lisbon, ensuring that no one is excluded from the institution for lack of financial means. Among the various activities carried out by these Services, the following stand out: Provide educational, cultural and sports support; Attribute and manage economic suppor t (examples: study grants, accommodation) to needy students and/or students that are away from home; Provide social support structures in terms of accommodation, diet and health services; Promote cultural activities and leisure activities for students; Cooperate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in supporting students that come from Portuguesespeaking countries who are attending the University of Lisbon, as well as provide support to stateless students or those that benefit from the status of political refugee.

The SASUL attributes study grants and/or accommodation (in university homes) to students that are, or can become, enrolled in any of the Faculties/Institutes of the University of Lisbon, and which: Are in economic need and/or are away from their families during the academic year. Are of Portuguese nationality; Belong to the member states of the European Union with the right to permanent residency in Portugal and their family members; Are nationals from third-party countries: Holders of permanent residency permit (Art. 80 of Law 23/2007, dated July 4th); Beneficiaries of the status of long-term resident (Art. 125 of Law 23/2007, dated July 4th); Come from other countries with which cooperation agreements have been signed and which consider the possibility for such benefits. LLP Erasmus In order to check the possibility of obtaining accommodation, Erasmus students at the UL should request a bedroom directly from the Office of International Relations of the Faculty/ Institute of the UL where they are going to study. The request should be made right after the confirmation of the acceptance of the mobility period is received. In case accommodation is actually provided, the student shall be informed by E-mail. Grants attributed by the Cames, Instituto da Cooperao e da Lngua. Requests for bedrooms must be addressed directly to that institution. Exchanges under protocols. Useful information The number of vacancies for foreign students at the university homes belonging to SASUL is quite limited, so their allocation is not guaranteed. Students coming from non-EU countries requiring a declaration confirming their accommodation for the purpose of obtaining their visa should request it directly from the entity where they are going to be accommodated. Foreign students that were notified that they have the right to accommodation in one of the university homes belonging to SASUL should arrive in Lisbon on a working day (Monday to Friday) and should go to SASUL's Student Support Office before 2.30 pm to collect the keys to the bedroom. 5.1.2. Accommodation
The University of Lisbon does not include an accommodation service for its foreign students. Foreign students should autonomously look into the different accommodation offers made by others entities. Occasionally the Office of International Relations of the UL has some contacts for accommodation offers. The School Health Centre of the University of Lisbon (UL) carries out prevention, diagnosis, clarification and training initiatives in the field of health for students at the UL. Foreign students attending the University of Lisbon also have access to this Centre by showing their respective student card issued by the Faculty/Institute of the UL where they are studying. Available services*: Nursing, General Medicine, Gynaecology, Psychology and Psychiatry. *For complementary diagnosis exams, foreign students studying at the UL must show their card related to the social security system of the country of origin (for example: the European Health Insurance Card). 5.6. Sports, Culture and Well-being Department

Through the Sports, Culture and Well-being Department, the University of Lisbon makes available to the whole academic community a set of goods and services aimed at engaging students leisure times in an active and healthy way. Besides the possibility for engaging in different sports, this Department also promotes university tournaments, intramural competitions, outdoor activities and various types of beginners and upgrading sports courses. The different activities promoted by this Department most notably include the ULness Academy, which includes a Fitness Hall for the following classes: Aerobics, Hip-Hop, Yoga, Oriental Dance, Capoeira, among others; plus a Fitness Hall with more than 40 different pieces of equipment to help develop aerobic and muscular capabilities. The Academic Services are responsible for all academic matters, so they can clarify foreign students on matters related to access to the University of Lisbon; on matters pertaining to academic recognition, attendance of curricular units under free regimen, transfer of courses, among several other matters (contacts available under item 5.11.).
5.4. Student Support Offices

The University of Lisbon established in each Faculty a specific unit that is dedicated to attending and providing information to students. Thus, the student support offices offer a personalized service, namely in terms of: fostering students' participation in the academic life; providing psychopedagogical support to students, as necessary; help students with special educational needs, namely with their integration, and promoting academic success (contacts available under item 5.11.).

The University of Lisbon (UL) hosts students with special educational needs (SEN), supporting and promoting their full integration in the academic life. Support to students of the UL with special educational needs (SEN) is provided with the purpose of these students acquiring the highest degree of autonomy and academic success. The existing SEN mechanisms at this institution are triggered by specific services at each Faculty/Institute, mostly by the Student Support Offices. The different existing spaces at the University of Lisbon provide a venue for holding various academic and cultural initiatives that promote the involvement of the university community and of the general public. Lisbon is a city located on 7 hills, combining historic and modern features. The Park of Nations, located in a just about 5 minutes away from Lisbon International Airport, it is possible to visit the site of EXPO'98, the last world exhibition in the 20 th Century, namely a few bold examples of contemporary architecture such as the Oceanarium and the Atlantic Pavilion. In this area of the city, on a 5 km strip along the bank of the Tagus River, visitors can also enjoy several theme gardens, exhibition centres, theatre, areas for conventions, as well as many shops, restaurants and bars.
