Remarkably, six genocides have majoranniversaries in the month of April - atragic testament to the internationalcommunity's inexcusable failure to stopinhuman and barbarous acts.This April, we - survivors of genocide andmass atrocities, their descendents, andanti-genocide advocates - will honor thosewho were lost and those who survived.And we will urge immediate action to stopthe ongoing Darfur genocide.Our collective voices will remind theinternational community to make itscommitment to mass atrocity preventionabsolute. Until we do, we are destined torepeat the most shameful chapters inhuman history.
