Educating The Future Elites: Making THE THINK TANKS FORUMS open and online

Concept & Background:

In the recent years the use of internet has increased dramatically, it became useful for organizations to reach people and engage them online. The issues rising in ISLAMIC THINK TANKS FORUMS are valuable and deserving to be discussed widely in Islamic World and be reachable to highest number of people possible. That would raise awareness and cultivate a culture of understanding among Islamic World future elites so that Islamic countries are on the road to prosperity and security, a critical objective of Islamic forums. Online attendants will attend the forum on parallel with other participants and discussions will be extended for maybe few months after days of forum end. This requires a web application capable of 1) making participating researchers videos and materials accessible along with their profiles, so that people view or download them and 2) a discussion forum to discuss presentations further with participation of the researchers and assistants. The project will be marketed by directly communicating all universities in Islamic World in addition to public institutions, in addition to using newspapers articles and social media e.g. Facebook campaigns. Prestigious universities especially Americans are taking the lead and offering quality classes online free of charge for thousands and thousands of students. They brought the campus to people worldwide. They are using videos for viewing lectures and discussion forums to enhance communication. Coursera and Edx are prominent examples. Professors are sharing their views and making their culture more prevalent and accepted internationally. People from around the world including Islamic world are participating with enthusiasm. The proposed project brings the idea from campuses to conferences and let people attend conferences online free of charge, this will change the dynamics of elitism of the forum and privacy of its content, It is important to study costs and benefits of such a strategic initiative with all stakeholders involved.

Objectives & Benefits:

1- The form reaches 1 million professors, researchers, public officers and students from Islamic World with little additional costs. 2- The coordinating think tank and the Forum are recognized as leading think tanks in Islamic World and pioneer in open online conferences worldwide. 3- Participating researchers are recognized as world figures and their books, researches and contributions are known widely. 4- Islamic World pressing issues along with proposed solutions are made global and discussed at various levels.
