ony lives on the River Thames in London with his sister Tina and his dad, who he calls Big Daddy. Tony has lots of friends, but Sarah the Seagull is his
Today is lovely and warm, and Tony has been told by Big Daddy that he will be helping to take Sir Wilfred Warship from Dartford up the river into London. Tony is very excited about this, as it is his first big job that he has been given to do. Tony knows that Sir Wilfred is a very important old Warship, and the Queen will be visiting him.
As it is a special day, Tony is being washed by Big Daddy. Water is spraying all over him and he is so happy, he keeps giggling as it tickles. The water cleans Tony and washes him down, until he is very clean and sparkly. The sun has just come out from behind a cloud and Tony is shining bright. Percy Police Boat is watching, and tells everyone to get ready to go to Dartford to meet Sir

Wilfred. It is early in the morning and they have to be there by 10 o'clock. Big Daddy and Tony set off, and on the way they see Bernie Barge, who asks them where they are going. Tony tells Bernie Barge that he and Big Daddy are taking Sir Wilfred to meet the Queen. Bernie asks them to tell him all about it later, as he is currently busy taking wood up the river. Tony also sees Aunty Winnie, the Norfolk Wherry sailing boat. Aunty Winnie lives near Norwich in Norfolk and has brought some people to stay in London for a holiday. Tony thinks that she must have left very early this morning.

By the time that Tony and Big Daddy reach Dartford, the tide is already half in. Sir Wilfred cannot go to London until the tide is in properly, as he is such a big ship.
