Attendance/People Involved: 1) Larisse Mondok, Sanggunian CAA Representative 2) Christopher Cunanan, Sanggunian CAA Representative 3) Ferdinand John Briones, 2 BS APS-ACS Student 4) Ellice Dane Ancheta, 2 BS APS-ACS Student 5) Carlex Randolph Jose, 2 BS APS-ACS Student 6) Joseph Thomas Miclat, 2 BS APS-ACS Student 7) Dr. Rosula Reyes, ECCE Department Chairperson Agenda of the Meeting/Goals: 1) Discuss the removal of BS APS-ACS from the undergraduate programs offered to the applying freshmen. 2) Determine if the current students of BS APS-ACS will be affected by the removal of the said removal of the program. Action Done by the Unit: 1) Facilitated the communication between the department and students concerned. Results: 1) The BS APS-ACS program, including BS CH-ACS, was frozen by the department to study the viability of the program in relation to the number of students who elect to proceed with and complete the second degree (ACS). 2) The number of students who proceed with the BS ACS degree has been fluctuating over the years; some students elect not to proceed with it after completing the pre-requisite first degree (BS APS or BS CH). 3) Due to the usually low number of students in the APS program, classes end up as tutorial sessions. 4) The Chemistry department is also conducting their own study of the BS CH-ACS program; they have intensions of revamping their current BS CH program and incorporate some of the BS CH-ACS classes into it. 5) The ECCE department has not received communication from the Physics department if they would follow the suit of the Chemistry department and make their own study of the BS APS-ACS program.

6) The current students, including the freshmen batch, under the said programs will not be affected by the removal; they will be able to graduate on time. 7) Both programs would be accepting shiftees coming from the freshmen batch and onwards. Recommendations: 1) Close monitoring of CAA representative, Chris Cunanan, to ensure that the quality of classes and faculty for current students of the course is not sacrificed in freezing the course for the incoming freshmen of A.Y. 2013-2014 2) Release the results of the dialogue with ECCE department to current students of BS APSACS program and BS CH-ACS program
