RADIO 2 [88-90.2 FM] pays tribute to pianist/composer DENNY WRIGHT (Mon 4th 7.30-8pm) who died in February. SOUNDS OF SINATRA (Sat 45pm) continues its run, including words from Count Basie (9th). HOOKED ON TANGO (Tue 12th 9-10pm) samples music with that rhythm. THE ARTS PROGRAMME (Fri 15th 10pm-midnight) includes live music by The Wigan Youth Jazz Orchestra. Cleo Laine and son Alec Dankworth decide whether blood is THICKER THAN WATER (Tue 18th 8-8.45pm) when it comes to musical taste. FRANKIE VAUGHAN (Sat 23rd 6-7pm) has guest vibes player Alan Randall. JOHN DUNN's guest is Artie Shaw (Mon 8th 5-7pm). JAZZ PARADE (Mon-Fri night 12.05-12.35am) talks to American singer/songwriter Ellyn Rucker (5th May) and has sessions from The Henry Lowther Quintet (6th), Acoustic Tamba (13th), The Fawkes Turner Quintet (18th), The Hugh Rainey Quintet (1st Jun) and The Jason Rebello Quintet (8th Jun). RADIO 3 [90.2-92.4 FM] continues its DJANGO REINHARDT appreciation (Fri 6.30-7pm, repeated Thu 11-11.30pm) through May. MONTY ALEXANDER'S IVORY & STEEL (Mon 4th 10-11.30pm) and HENRY THREADGILL'S VERY VERY CIRCUS (Mon 18th 10-11.30pm) play and talk music. JOHN TAYLOR & JOHN SURMAN (Sat 30th 10.30pm-midnight) are captured at the Bath Festival. BBC RADIO SOLENT, JERSEY, GUERNSEY, BRISTOL, GLOUCESTER, WILTSHIRE SOUND, DEVON & CORNWALL. Chris Walker's JAZZ SOUNDS (Wed 8.05-9.25pm) has a session by Rod Mason's Hot Five on 27th May. FESTIVAL RADIO [Brighton 100.4 FM] until 24th May plays a trailer load of brilliant music, notably GLOBAL GROOVE (Mon-Fri 6.30-8pm) with Catfish R&B (Mon), Ashanti Afro (Tue & Thu), Jazz Bop (Wed) and Testify/Fusion (Fri). At weekends, there's Chris Phillips and Jez Nelson's SOMETHIN' ELSE (Sat 4-5pm), Russ Dewbury & Baz Fe Jazz (Sat 6.30-8pm), fusion from Alan Sage (Sat 10pm-midnight), salsa with Tomek (Sin 1-3pm), Wilber Wilberforce (Sun 3-5pm), Tony Monson (Sun 10pm-midnight) and John Styles' overview of the Jazz Festival. KISS FM [London 100 FM] has a new schedule that includes Chris Phillips (Mon-Fri 4-6am), Patrick Forge (Tue night 1-4am), Wilber Wilberforce (Wed night 1-4am), Jez Nelson (Thu night 1-4am) and Gilles Peterson (Sun 11am1pm).
