Well done for February\u2019s fire drill: everyone got out very promptly and some of you explored different escape routes. We noted, however, that many of you still used the main doors even though that was not your nearest exit.
Please take a few minutes this week to familiarise yourself with at least two emergency escape routes.
When the fire alarm sounds, it is really important that you leave the building as quickly as possible using the shortest available route.

provisionally planned for Friday 2nd June with a late bar and DJ set. It\u2019s certain to be a great night, so keep your diary clear and make sure you come!
We shall have a number of vacancies for Senior Members next year. To be eligible, you must be enrolled at a University of London college or institute AND (i) studying for a postgraduate degree, OR (ii) in the 4th, 5th, or 6thye ar of an extended undergraduate degree such as MBBS, MPharm, or MEng, OR (iii) be studying for a second undergraduate degree.
The Senior Members work with the Warden and Vice-Warden, dealing with social, welfare, and disciplinary issues and covering the duty rota for out-of- hours emergencies. Typical issues they might deal with include noisy neighbours, fire alarms, intruders, residents who feel homesick or who are struggling at college, and helping to arrange and supervise social events.
Senior Members have a largeen suite room in Hall; there is a small annual salary plus a payment for each night- time or weekend duty shift worked.
We shall be inviting applications later this term, so look out for posters advertising the vacancies; if you want to know more, please feel free to speak to the Warden or Vice-Warden, or email
