“Crashed Ice” is the name of a skievent put on by Red Bull. A smallgroup in Montreal protested the useof the English name for the event inQuebec City. The group has sug-gested French names. Red Bull doesnot want to change the name be-cause it is used around the world.

Jos. Louis are popular Quebec-madesnack cakes. Despite their popular-ity, the cakes cannot be advertisedto children. The cake company wasfined $44,000 for breaking Que-bec’s law that bans advertising tokids under 13 years old.

Missing HunterFound
A missing hunter was found alive atthe northern tip of Quebec. Thehunter went missing after the ice floehe was on broke away from shore. Hisfriend called for help and a searchstarted. He was later found.
Man Dead afterTrain Crash
A man died after a Via Rail train col-lided with a vehicle in Quebec City.The train dragged the vehicle for sev-eral hundred metres. Witnesses saythe security barrier and flashing lightswere working, but the vehicle didn’tstop. Police are looking into the crash.
