Is it heroin or patriotism that drives the USA to stay in Afghanistan? Frank Morgan, a CIA trained assassin, finds out oil could be in the mix. Teaming with a drunken cliche'd Irishman and muscled Bible quoting black killer, he goes from the rocky caves of the Afghan mountains to the comfort of a Lear jet flying from Germany on a journey in search of the secrets of the puppetmasters. Eventually, with the girl on his arm, he finds some kind of redemption, tho' it's nothing like he pictured. Filled with the sound, smells, and sights of Afghanistan, Pastun is a tale of intrigue and suspense that demonstrates many of the challenges of a war that may not be winnable.
