Title card: somewhere in the distant pastEXT. FORESTFilled with large oak trees, birds chirping. A slight breezeblows through the air. Leaves start to take flight as the wind starts to pick up. Clouds roll in and cover the sun. Andthen it starts to rain. Light at first, but then heavier. Theforest animals take shelter as the trees start to bend underthe howling wind. Thunder claps and lightening fills the sky.CUT TO:EXT. CLEARINGWe see a small bungalow as it is being buffeted by the wind.INT. BUNGALOW. BEDROOMIt is quieter in here, but we can still hear the storm rageoutside. We see an old man lying in bed, at death's door.Beside him sits Kane, a young chinese man.WIZARDHe is coming.KANEWho?WIZARDMorgue, I can feel his power.The old wizard reaches out for an object lying next to him.It looks like an over-sized pen and is filled with a mysterious glowing substance. But it is unlike any pen wehave ever seen. The wizard holds it up.WIZARD (CONT'D)The most powerful object in the world. It can create life...He looks Kane right in the eyes.WIZARD (CONT'D)But in the wrong hands, it couldalso destroy it.He hands it to Kane. Kane looks at it dubiously.WIZARD (CONT'D)You must take it and hide it faraway.CONTINUED

KANEWhy me?WIZARDDo as I say, there is no time.KANEBut with your magic and the powerof...(He looks at the Pen)Whatever this is, you can destroyhim.WIZARDNo, my power is weak.He pushes the pen into Kane's hands.KANE(playing with it)Cool.He waves it around.WIZARDCareful.All of a sudden flames shoot out from the tip of the Penacross the room and incinerates a portrait of the wizard. The wizard shakes his head in despair.KANEUh, sorry.He starts to give the Pen back to the Wizard, who for asecond thinks about taking it back. But there is no one else.WIZARDYou must.(regretful; under hisbreath)Unfortunately, you are my onlyhope.KANEHuh?WIZARDNever mind. You must go now.KANEBut what about you?2.CONTINUED:CONTINUED
